Dickens Christmas Show delights Myrtle Beach
Tom O'Dare
For 27 years, the Dickens Christmas Show and Festival has been drawing thousands to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
It is one of the most favorite Myrtle Beach Christmas shows year in and year out.
Over the years, the show has been tabbed one of the top attractions in the entire Southeast. Locals and visitors, alike, many times by the busloads, visit the hundreds of vendors looking for that one special Christmas gift.
The show is running from now through Sunday. It features an old English theme based on Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Vendors are dressed in period garb as Christmas music rings throughout the convention hall.
In addition to the vendors, displays of Christmas trees, wreaths and Santas from throughout the ages can be found.
The show also allows charities to use vendor space to raise much needed funds, some of which offer tasty treats in the Festival of Worlds section which features food from across the globe.
