The first public ride on Hard Rock Park's signature Led Zeppelin roller coaster is up for grabs.
Tickets for the maiden voyage will be auctioned off during a week-long eBay contest starting tonight at 9 p.m., park and auction officials said.
The auction will end 9 p.m. on April 7, and 15 people will win tickets for the April 15 ride. The proceeds will go to charity, and the top bid will be matched by Hard Rock Park CEO Steven Goodwin, park spokeswoman Megan Winnett said.
Winners will ride with Goodwin before the park opens to the public and will receive a commemorative photo, certificate, daily admission and posters autographed by Led Zeppelin, said Kerry Graves, vice president of sales and marketing for the park.
Bidding will start at 99 cents, he said.
The $400 million park is scheduled to have a limited opening April 15 and be fully operational by May 9.
