• GREAT HOTEL

September 30, 2011 - This is really a NICE HOTEL. It's right on the beach & is much different from many other places there. Rooms are very pretty & clean. The sheets are soft, pillows are fluffy & you just feel like a VIP. It's my favorite place to stay & if you have a need for a suite of rooms get the corner ones with the pretty views of the beach from every bedroom. I LOVE IT!!! Lazy river, 2 pools, 2 jacuzzis. Rocking chairs overlooking the ocean. AHHHHH wish I was there now!!


• This was the resort of our dreams and we will be back!!!

September 7, 2011 - Island Vista is a wonderful resort that has something for everyone. First of all, the staff was exceptional from the front office to maintenance, housekeeping and all the rest. The resort was very clean and pretty just as it appeared on the website. So many resorts are very deceptive from the pictures. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and seeing people sunbathing was very nice from our ocean front condo windows. We had privacy and relaxation. I have traveled extensively and I have never received such wonderful service as I had at Island Vista. Definitely, my family and I will be back and we look forward to another great vacation. When our group went out for dinner, staff made a recommendation and the food at the restaurant was outstanding! Island Vista is only an eight hour drive for us, so we just may plan a get-a-way any time. WE LOVED ISLAND VISTA!


• Finally found our yearly resort in Myrtle Beach!

August 27, 2011 - We travel to Myrtle Beach yearly for my daughters National Dance competition and have searched yearly for the "perfect" place to stay ~ I am in the travel industry & want my Canadian relatives to enjoy their beach get-away after their long snowy winters!! The Island Vista fits the bill!! A spacious condo, in a perfect location--surrounded by residential properties (so no uncomfortable "Jersey shore" moments in front of the kids!!). The entire staff was exceptional!! Would definitely advise skipping the restaurant, as the wait staff is lacking in every way...the food was just OK. In our particular unit, the beds were BRUTALLY uncomfortable, hard to imagine why owners of such a high-end condo would not offer suitable beds. The pools were immaculately clean! Just wish ALL the units were entirely non-smoking as we were definitely inundated by the stench from our "neighbors" balcony.


• Can’t wait to return next year!

July 27, 2011 - We have been going to Myrtle Beach for many years! We began staying at the old Sea Island hotel that preceded the current Island Vista. We eagerly anticipated the completion of the new hotel and worried it would be too big compared to our love of the old Sea Island. Yes, it is larger, but it still has a small hotel feel. The rooms, pools, beach access, amenities cannot be beat! Don't forget to use the meal plan---for a small extra charge you can enjoy two wonderful meals each day in the ocean front dining room staffed with long time servers of the family owned hotel. So convenient and no need to fight the crowds around town. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else!


• Consistently great – we return year after year!

June 23, 2011 - One of the best places for families and friends. The staff do everything possible to make your stay hassle free and very enjoyable. The American Meal Plan is excellent (as is the staff) and we never venture away from the building as everything is on hand. The rooms are spacious, the views amazing and the amenities plentiful. We've been coming here for six years and always plan a yearly get-away to the Island Vista.


• The BEST Hotel By Far

June 14, 2011 - This was our 2nd year at Island Vista. The staff went above and beyond to make our visit a pleasant one. The facility is kept in top condition and looks brand new. We can't wait to go back next year!


• Excellent resort and view

May 26, 2011 - The room was exactly what I was looking for. I am a bit of a picky traveler and this was a spacious, well maintained suite. We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite. Not sure how we got this one but we reserved a one bedroom suite ocean view. The view was spectacular. The front desk staff was very friendly. We didn't buy the meal plan but we did eat in the Cypress room for breakfast. The breakfast was good and the service was prompt.

The beachfront was not very crowded (like most hotels during this time). We were able to get a good spot after breakfast on Sunday at 11:30. I don't have any complaints about this resort. I read the reviews before booking and the reviews were spot on. The hotel rooms are exactly like the picture. (No surprises!) . I would definitely stay here again if traveling to Myrtle beach. My only complaint would be maneuvering in the parking deck is a bit tight. It is a covered cement parking deck and if you have a new car, it could be somewhat unnerving parking in the garage. Middle spots seem to be the widest if you are concerned about preventing door dings. Backing in is best to avoid having difficulty maneuvering getting out.


• By far, the best place to stay in Myrtle Beach!

May 17, 2011 - My husband and I have traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and US, staying at only the best 5 star hotels and resorts. I am very picky when it comes to accommodations and a “clean freak” and I must say the Vista Island Resort is now at the top of our list of places to stay. The resort suites are immaculate and the staff is soooooooo accommodating. The grounds and pool are impeccable and the resort is in a great location near all the attractions yet away from all the crowds. They have an award winning restaurant on site which also serves a great breakfast so you do not have to leave the resort. Parking is free to hotel guests which is unheard of in Myrtle Beach. There are no hidden fees as most other hotels charge in the area. They have 2 pools, a whirlpool, an indoor lazy river, a tiki bar and another nice bar in their restaurant, The Cypress Room. Check-in was fast and courteous. I had requested an early check-in and my room was ready for me at 9:00 a.m.!!!! All their suites overlook the pool and ocean and are immaculate and have a FULL kitchen with everything you need and granite countertops. I surprised my husband with this trip for his birthday and they upgraded our room to a suite and also gave us a $25 gift certificate to use at their restaurant….food was superb! I cannot say enough good things about this resort and also a special thank you to Mark A., the Front Office Manager and also the girls at check-in! For the past 9 years we have gone to Ft Myers for our yearly vacation in May however no our new vacation spot will be at the Island Vista Resort in Myrtle Beach! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!


• Great room, great view, great beach!

May 10, 2011 - This was our first time staying at Island Vista and we weren't disappointed. We took advantage of their spring sales event and nabbed a three bedroom, three bath unit. The condo was large and nicely decorated; and had granite countertops in the large kitchen. We shared the condo with two other couples. Everyone had a great time, and we would certainly stay here again. Also, the on-site restaurant offers a great breakfast and dinner.


• We'll Be Back Next Year

May 4, 2011 - This is the 4th year that we have stayed at the Island Vista. It has a great location in a residential area far from the madding crowd!! The suites offer everything a vacationer could want. We especially like having the washer and dryer in the room. The staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient. The indoor and outdoor pools allow visitors to enjoy themselves no matter what the weather. We had a delicious dinner in the Cypress Room.


• Beach Front Hotel, Pool and Opportunity for Relaxation

Apr 28, 2011 - Despite it being spring break and lots of families with young kids running around, we were able to spend a few days lounging on the beach essentially undisturbed, relaxing near the pool, occasionally visiting the tiki bar. It was close, convenient to the activities nearby and easy to get to from our NY home. Gym equipment sort of disappointing, and the furniture in our 2 BR room was a little old and saggy, but otherwise we were pleased and would probably go back again based mostly on the beachfront location with cabanas for rental through the city.


• Vacation Home Away from Home

Apr 28, 2011 - We have stayed at Island Vista several times over the years they have been open. The staff will do whatever possible to accommodate your needs. Everything from check-in, maid service, meals, poolside, the bar...well...'everything' is wonderful. Parking is great, not so crowded, quite and beautiful. Why would you want to stay anywhere else? This is our vacation home away from home. Wish we could visit more often.


• Hands Down, This Was the Best Place We Have Stayed in Myrtle Beach!

Apr 27, 2011 - My husband and I came to the Island Vista Resort for our anniversary. We LOVED the Island Vista Resort. It was clean, bright and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was huge and roomy. Service was fabulous from check in, to room service, to check out. The indoor and outdoor pool areas are creative and fun. The restaurant had wonderful service and food. We completely enjoyed our stay and intend to stay there every time we come back. The staff was friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay awesome!


• Greatest Vacation Ever in Myrtle Beach, SC

Apr 25, 2011 - This is the second year we have vacationed in Myrtle Beach SC. We stayed at Island Vista (2 bedroom grand) in 2009 and when we returned in 2011, we stayed there again. We had the best time. The staff is fantastic and the food/activities are great. Staying on the beach is a great experience. To wake up to the sounds of the ocean is like heaven. My mom, 13 year old daughter and 7 year old son had a truly outstanding time and will return again in 2012 to stay in the 3 bedroom corner suite, which the staff so graciously allowed us to see when we checked out. It was so awesome, my son expects us to go every month. :) Wonderful time-can't wait till May 2012!!
