Myrtle Beach Spring Break
Article title:
Things to do in Myrtle Beach during Spring Break 2008
Whether area residents are planning to welcome visiting children or grandchildren over Easter spring break or families from the north are visiting for some relief from snow and ice storms, a Grand Strand spring warms up in many ways for entertaining youngsters. Many miniature-golf courses have reopened for the season.
Melanie D. McMurrain, program educator at the Children's Museum of South Carolina in Myrtle Beach, said her crew enjoys stepping up the amount of special activities for spring vacation.
"We always have special events and programs during spring break to serve local residents as well as visitors," she said. "It serves to provide an opportunity to do something new and to generate repeat visits."
Starting this week and continuing past spring break through May, almost every day through month's end, the museum has an extra program, such as making a message or plant in a bottle.
