October 7, 2011 - Great place to stay, the location between 2nd Ave. pier and 14th Ave. pier is perfect. Close enough to the action but far enough away for peace and quiet at bedtime. The new boardwalk is great. Loved the private enclosed parking garage. The rooms were perfect and best of all the walls are thick enough so that you don't have to listen to what your neighbors are doing. Very clean and family friendly. Loved the Starbucks being on the property! And the views are priceless. September 27, 2011 - This place is a great place to stay. We booked it because we wanted to get a quick weekend beach trip in. I imagined that it would just be an okay place to stay because I got a really great deal on a ocean front 1 bedroom condo. The staff was very friendly at check-in. The condo was great. It was very clean and had all I needed to enjoy my stay. The view from the balcony was very nice as it overlooked the ocean. We were very impressed with the quality and comfort of the condo at such a great price. I will definitely be staying with them again! September 12, 2011 - This was our first stay at Bay View on the Boardwalk... Myrtle Beach remains one of our favorite! Normally we go in March so it was a treat to go in August! We had a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo, ocean front view... The hotel is situated in a perfect location, the new boardwalk is amazing!!! We loved the hotel, the staff was extremely welcoming at check-in. Yes the elevators can be a bit slow at certain times...it is a huge hotel with lots of people. We enjoyed it, and probably would stay again... No outdoor pool though but the indoor pool area is very nice. The only drawback is that the parking is across the street in a secure garage... not convenient if the weather is iffy or if you have young children.. We did miss having an outdoor hottub....But all in all, it was a great holiday. Breakfast at Mamy's across the street was great.....and we love the LandShark Restaurant on the Boardwalk.........We love Myrtle Beach...Bay View on the Boardwalk is a great choice. August 27, 2011 - I booked a city view suite at Bay View. I wanted to stay near the boardwalk since we had three teenagers with us. We were able to turn them loose somewhat, and enjoy the peace and quiet! I chose Bay View, because they had a 20% off special, a room type that would accommodate a family of five, and because it is the second nicest looking property on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. The suite was very spacious. The unit has two nice balconies; one overlooking the city street, and the other a side view of the ocean. I requested a low floor because of all of the reviews that complained of slow elevators. The elevators were not slow, but there was not enough of them to accommodate the large number of guests. There is a parking garage across the street with a ample amount of parking. I never felt unsafe walking to the garage at night, although I would be more cautious walking anywhere at night. The pools were extremely small, and extremely busy...so we just avoided them. Overall...a great stay and wonderful experience. I would definitely stay again and recommend Bay View to friends. August 6, 2011 - This is a great place to stay in Myrtle Beach!! My husband and I stayed here on an Anniversary getaway and were more than satisfied!! The location is great. It is within walking distance of town and is on the new Boardwalk. Very clean and the staff are great. We highly recommend the Bay View and will be returning soon! Love, Love, Love it!!! July 19, 2011 – Bay View is probably the largest hotel on the new boardwalk in Myrtle Beach. It is about 19 floors. The hotel/condo unit has large rooms and very large, modern bathrooms. We appreciated the friendly staff as you drive in the semi-circle in front of the hotel to check in. We visited with our two grown sons, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We rented a two-bedroom unit. We were amazed how quiet our room was; we slept great. The sliding doors to the balcony were quiet, not squeaky like I've had at other places. I didn't hear any little feet running above, below, or beside us, like you do at other places, and the hotel was full. Overall, I do recommend the hotel. Here are some of the pros and cons: PROS: large, quiet rooms; large bathrooms; modern kitchen with all appliances needed as well as dishes, flatware, and pots and pans; bar area with three barstools; additional small dining area; firm but fairly comfortable beds; very nice, large balcony; beautiful ocean front room; located right on the beautifully landscaped new boardwalk, a 1.5+ mi. paved, wavy, walk taking you to at least two piers, all along the hotels, along a couple of restaurants, and right downtown to the original heart of Myrtle Beach! (with Ripleys as well as the Gay Dolphin store). CONS: no outdoor pool (no room since the boardwalk is out back); small amount of seating in the living room--we had four people there, but only three seats in living room (a loveseat/small sofa and one chair); no chair in bedroom; very small master bath shower - however the other bedroom did have a tub; no luggage racks; parking across the street and a walk beside smaller and less desirable motels to get to parking; strange elevator situation--they go past your floor (a non-staff person said they might be based on weight sensors) and come back later, and there was often a wait on the three elevators; no full-service restaurant (although there was a Starbucks). Still with the cons, it was a beautiful place we would probably consider again. June 8, 2011 - I was really impressed with the unit size and layout. I felt like I was at home. I loved the balcony views from our unit. The location is within walking distance to most attractions and a very short trip in car to the Aquarium which we visited. I love the beach access right off the property. I did not hear any street noise or neighbors which was pleasant. The only downfall was the pool area was small and hot. Not really a pool, but a lazy river for the children and kiddy pool. I would definitely stay here again. May 30, 2011 - This one of the nicest places I've stayed at in Myrtle Beach. The room was perfect and the overall property was excellent. The staff was friendly and courteous. I really liked having my car in the secure garage. I plan on returning again later this summer. May 20, 2011 - This was our second stay at Bay View. We visited in 2009 with my husband's mother and her sister. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the pool and the lazy river. My husband and I decided to come back to Bay View to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. Our first room was a King efficiency. This room was on the 19th floor and my husband is a little afraid of heights so it probably was not the best choice for us. The room did not have a place to sit or put your luggage. It was very pretty and clean and would have been perfect for someone who does not spend much time in their room. I asked about being moved and while there was nothing else available the first night the staff moved us to a beautiful one bedroom condo the next day. We packed our things and went out for the day and when we returned our things were already in our new room. Everyone we dealt with during our stay, the gentlemen who meet the cars out front, the cleaning personnel, the front desk people and the manager where all very nice and treated us like royalty. Thanks so much to everyone. May 3, 2011 - We stayed at Bay View over Spring Break. I would recommend staying with Bay View if you are looking for a basic hotel that is clean with not much frills. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Living room and kitchen are spacious, but the bedroom and bathroom areas are small. It was nice having a washer and dryer in your room. We liked the fact that the hotel is within walking distance to the Boardwalk and the pier around Second Avenue. The parking garage is a block over from the hotel so it was nice that they had a shuttle to take you back and forth to the garage. They are very good in securing the premises. You need a key to gain access to most of the facility and the parking garage. I liked that you had to have a key to get in to the parking garage because the property around the garage was kind of run down, but the area was well lit and we felt safe. The only complaint we had, was there not enough luggage carts available when we got ready to check out. Over all it was a good experience staying at Bay View. May 2, 2011 - Spouse is handicap and in a wheelchair. Our room was one of the 2 double bed condos and the accomodations were excellent. The room was clean and had more than enough room for his wheelchair. The staff was more than accomodating when we needed assistance in parking. Room was resupplied with clean linens and towels daily. Excellent view of the ocean, quiet and extremely relaxing. Would gladly return to this resort any time. Apr 27, 2011 - The condo was nice for a family. We had family of five plus a boyfriend with us. Plenty of room in the two bedroom Condo D. The elevator area on the ground floor is right by the pool...it is very busy and takes a bit of time for the elevators. The day before we left they had a large order of mattresses delivered..that will be nice. I do hope they do something about the pillows. On the King size bed..we had 3 rinky dinky pillows- I didn't love the pillows :(. I would say for the price we paid, it was a fine place to stay. The grounds and the beach were beautiful. Each morning they were outside making everything look perfect...a definite plus. Apr 25, 2011 - Having stayed at the Kingston Plantation Margate tower previously I knew I could not compare the Bay View to that. When we first walked in the Oceanfront room our feet were sticking to the tile floor in the kitchen. The floors were dirty in the entire condo. The $100 pull out sofa was nasty along with the comforters in the bedroom. I find it hard to believe this place was 3 yrs. old. There were no extra blankets and we went through three $5 proctor silex irons till we received one that worked. The two tv's were like fossils and there was only 1 remote. The walls were chipped all over the place. Good thing I went to wal-mart and purchased cleaning supplies along with toilet paper because there was also none of that. The two plastic chairs and table on the balcony were a joke. The elevators took forever at times. Maid service was terrible...after three days we were asked if we wanted our sheets changed...hello, yes can u please change the sheets! The south end, which we never stayed in before was really not for a family with little kids. If you are in a gang you may like it. It was a little thug-like. Okay, enough for the bad...there was some good. We only paid $576 for an oceanfront condo for 5 nights which was cheap. The view was beautiful. The parking a block away wasn't bad. My kids really enjoyed the pool, lazy river and kids pool along with the ocean. Mammy's across the street was actually decent and definitely reasonable for lunches for the beach. Would I stay here again? NO...Would I recommend this place to anyone? NO. In the future I will not skimp and I will return to the Kingston Plantation or something similar probably more on the north end. Hope this helps. Apr 24, 2011 - I traveled to Myrtle Beach with my Wife, Daughters 7,4 and my mother in law. We booked the Bay view resort on-line and got a great deal for spring break week. When we arrived at the hotel the staff in the parking area were very friendly and helpful. I parked the car about one block away and felt fine leaving it in the secure garage. When I arrived at the Ocean view condo room I was surprised how nice it was (Great View). Beach was right outside and boardwalk was great for a early morning run or a nice walk with the kids. Swimming pool, Hot Tub and lazy river were very nice. All the staff was very nice and helpful at all times. Now only a few little complaints slow elevators, and the neighborhood was a bit run down. I would recommended this hotel and hit the broadway on the boardwalk. Send us your review of Bay View Resort today. Check out our complete list of Myrtle Beach Hotels.
