Bay Watch ResortCourtesy of TripAdvisor Reviews for Bay Watch Resort of Myrtle Beach
October 11, 2011 - We stayed at the Bay Watch Resort for the long Columbus Day weekend. My sister was getting married on the beach. Everything was just great! My husband and I booked a King Studio, which was perfect for the two of us. The room was clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. I liked the wristbands for use of the pool. (When we stayed at Bay Watch a few years ago, there were guests from neighboring hotels at the pools, which made it very crowded.) We will stay here again! October 3, 2011 - Friendly staff upon check-in. Room was clean and plenty big. Restaurant breakfast was the only daily meal we ate there, but they were plenty good for an inclusive meal. Rooms received housekeeping daily and work showed attention to detail. Parking deck can be a little tight when you encounter another large vehicle. Plenty of pools and beach access is easy. We come here every fall for a golf trip and we will continue to stay at Bay Watch! September 25, 2011 - I've been to Myrtle Beach a few times, and this last trip was the first time I stayed at Bay Watch. We chose it because my mother-in-law was very partial to it after having stayed there in the past. The condo itself was pretty average. We stayed in a 3BR, 3 bath condo in Tower 2. We had a beautiful view from our balcony, and the condo was reasonable clean (could have been better, but not too bad). My biggest complaint was that all the beds were full size, which we found hard to sleep in because we're used to a king. The resort amenities will most likely bring us back here. Its location right on the beach can't be beat. There are three indoor pool areas, one in each tower, that include pools, baby pools, whirlpools, and a lazy river. There are also outdoor pools, whirlpools, baby pools, and a lazy river. One of the baby pools has a fountain that the kids love. There are two restaurants on site (including a sports bar that serves food), spa services are available (although we didn't take advantage of them), and there is a gift shop on-site. As a previous review mentions, there are no luggage carts unless you use a bellhop. This meant that we had to get a later start home on our last day than we might have otherwise because we had to wait for the bellhops to start for the day. We opted against valet parking, so it took about 10 minutes to retrieve the car from the garage across the street each time we wanted to leave. Overall, we were very pleased with our choice and would stay at the Bay Watch again. August 5, 2011 - The staff was very helpful and courteous. The lady took the time to help us find the type of room and price point that worked best for us. She didn't seem to be inconvenienced or try to hurry us of the phone like several other hotels did. Once we arrived, the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The property is starting to show it's age a bit but was clean and neat. They were painting some and spiffing up while we were there. Housekeeping also did a good job when we had questions or needed extra towels. The atmosphere was quiet (for Myrtle Beach) and safe for the family. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay there again. July 22, 2011 - All I have to say it was the best stay for a vacation the service was outstanding and the food was great. My daughter loved the pool so much I think shes part fish all i can say is I'm telling everyone in Iowa about this place and I would recommend this place to every one. July 8, 2011 - This hotel has a lot to offer you both in the room and on the property. Instant access to the beach and free wi-fi in room is a bonus too. However, the beds were not super comfortable and the finishings on the interior were a little dated. Overall I would say it was very good and I would stay there again. June 29, 2011 - This place was a great place to stay with small children. The Beach is close and they have several pools and lazy rivers. The staff was friendly and helpful. After arriving I am glad we chose North Myrtle Beach it was more family oriented. We choose this hotel for close proximity to Alligator Adventures. The place was really perfect for our first trip here. There is a lady braiding all the little girls hair at the pool. The pools stay open till 11. They rent beach umbrellas and chairs also. The rooms and elevators were kept clean and nice with all the beach goers coming and going. My only issue was some drivers not being able to navigate the parking garage that is not the hotels fault. June 6, 2011 - My husband was in the golf outing for retired military and this was the first time (wife) I was able to attend. The facility was wonderful and the room was very clean, the cleaning attendants were cordial and thoughtful and good. I would recommend this facility to anyone wanting to go to Myrtle Beach. The pools were family friendly and yet private if you wanted to read. The beach was clean and well tended to. We did not use the restaurant or room service but I am sure that would have been excellent as well. Thank you all. May 23, 2011 - Our stay each day we received exceptional service and maid service was very friendly and provided us with what we needed. The room as an oceanside view was very nice, we could see the ocean plus the front of Hotel. The location is in a great area and very peaceful and quiet with all the amenities that are needed to where you do not have to leave to eat to enjoy and nice adult beverage. Everything offered was above our expectations. Thanks Baywatch for a wonderful stay. May 2, 2011 - I was particularly impressed with the friendly and attentive approach of all your employees especially in the restaurant. The only critique I have is that only one clerk was on duty when we checked in a bottle neck and delay. May 1, 2011 - We stayed in the Anderson last year and decided to save a few bucks and give Bay Watch a try this time. Pretty much got what we expected. The resort was older and what I'd consider "economy class" but clean. Family friendly place with great pools that allowed us to splurge on other things during vacation. The only cons: I felt the area nearby on King's Highway was a bit sketchy, our bellhop needed some "coaching" on appropriate small talk (they should stick to topics like the weather and avoid topics like race, religion and politics unless asked) and there was no washer/dryer in the room, but other than that, no major problems/concerns. Apr 29, 2011 - Every thing was nice, clean and good service. The only draw back was internet. Wired or wireless was very poor, slow and sometimes cut off altogether. If you are not concerned with internet, the place is wonderful....Spring Break is very crowded and difficult to find a free recliner for sun bathing. Apr 21, 2011 - Grounds were very clean and very friendly staff. Very quick response with house keeping and maintenance. The price was very reasonable. Lots of pools for kids to enjoy. Beach area spotless. Will definitely be returning to this hotel. Great views! Apr 17, 2011 - We have chosen to stay with Bay Watch on several occasions. This time has to be rated the worse. This unit is becoming run down. It is in bad need to be remodeled. This especially effects families with small children. More items need to be added to the kitchen. There are items in this unit that hasn't worked since 2009. These are noted in the guest book in the room. The beds were advertised as queen and they aren't. This also was noted as being that way in 2009 in the guest book in the room. The personal on duty were very nice, especially the valet service employees. We will be returning, hopefully this summer. We should have been told when the rental took place than the fitness room was being worked on and not available. Send us your review of Bay Watch Resort today.
