Breakers Resort HotelCourtesy of TripAdvisor Reviews for Breakers Resort Hotel of Myrtle Beach
October 17, 2011 - Just got back from a week at the Breakers. What a great resort! We arrived early shortly after noon and couldn't get into our room but were given a parking pass and were told we could use any of the facilities until our room was ready at 3 PM. This resort has everything, including many different pools, hot tubs, and a huge relaxing lazy river and don't forget the miles of beaches. The kids can enjoy the pirate ship water area and other kiddie pools. Rooms were cleaned daily, they even did a few dishes that were left in the sink!!! The oceanfront views were awesome!! The breakfast included in the package was the best breakfast buffet ever. A wide variety of hot foods, and fruits, with some items changing daily. Everything was kept fresh! We could also order french toast, eggs, pancakes, or omelets. Service was great. Not a single complaint! We are coming back to this resort! September 27, 2011 - I have been visiting The Breakers in Myrtle Beach since the 1970's. Times have certainly changed, but I can always rely on The Breakers to deliver a wonderful room and helpful staff. Our oceanfront suite at The Palms Tower more than exceeded my expectations. The the reservations staff answered all my questions and made sure my special requests were met. Thank you Breakers for making a quick getaway so enjoyable. September 14, 2011 - We stayed at the Breakers and had a 2 bedroom in the Paradise Tower. It was clean and ready for check-in without a long wait. Our group really enjoyed the facility and location. We were especially impressed with the bellmen and their friendly service. Josh and Sterling were helpful and we appreciated the extra hands! We will be sure to book another vacation at the Breakers! August 11, 2011 - The event planner will work to make your stay unforgettable. Great site for a family reunion. Hotel is located in the middle of everything so that groceries and dining establishments are within walking distance. Off street parking is also available. Rooms were booked near each other. Pools and ocean were visible from the rooms. Suites are spacious and have separate bedroom , well -equipped kitchen, and livingroom spaces. Rooms were very quiet. Family dinner was held in the ballroom with a buffet dinner. Food was delicious. Iris, the executive chef did a great job of preparing items that appeal to all age groups form mac and cheese for the kids to stuffed flounder for the adults. Brandon and James were wonderful servers, and Lisa, the bartender did a great job, and she even stayed beyond her required time to fill last minute orders. Everyone in our party agreed it was the best reunion they had ever attended. WE will book there again for future vacations. July 14, 2011 - My boyfriend and I stayed here during our spring break. We got a $60 a night deal from Travel Zoo for a suite. We were a little apprehensive about the hotel despite the good reviews since it was so cheap. We were pleasantly surprised during our stay, though. If you get breakfast included, it's actually across the street in a restaurant--buffet-style--and much better than the buffet you would get a more generic chain hotel. The room was really nice. We had a kitchen, which was great since we didn't want to go out to eat for every meal. We also had a living room separate from the bedroom...it overlooked the ocean and had a patio. The hotel is right on the beach and near a lot of restaurants. If you want to get to more restaurants, shops, etc. you have to drive for maybe 20-30 minutes up the road, but it's not bad at all. The pool was nice...not as great as it looked in the pictures but it was definitely better than those at a lot of hotels I've stayed at. It was just a little cold in March...we had thought it wouldn't be because the hotel website said it would be covered. There's an opening where the lazy river goes outdoors, though, and the cold air comes in through there. Overall, it was a great hotel for the price! June 18, 2011 - Just got back from a week stay at the Breakers Resort a couple days ago. We stayed in the paradise tower and it was beautiful. The oceanfront suite was large and had plenty of sleeping room with 2 queen size beds, 1 pull down bed, and 1 pull out bed in the couch. The view from the oceanfront 19th floor balacony was beautiful. The location for the Breakers Resort is perfect. If your looking for a great vacation and a great place to stay then this is your hotel. They have a starbucks and 2 restaurants right across the street, and not to mention a bar and grill in the building next to the paradise tower. The best part of the trip was the atmosphere when laying out by the pool. They have a dj that plays from 12-4 Monday-Saturday and it's really a fun time. Get out there early if you want a chair by the pool near the dj, because they normally fill up by 9am. The breakers resort has my business for life after this trip! The staff was very friendly and helpful. May 25, 2011 - My wife and I needed to run away for a few days, so glad we chose The Breakers, we stayed at their Paradise Tower building (enclosed heated and air conditioned hallways perfect for a cooler fall/winter getaway) and the staff from check-in to helping with local questions were always quite nice and helpful. The combination of The Red Parrot bar with good bar food and more, a killer view, and great entertainment . We were able to have a very nice breakfast buffet across the street at a place called Pappas, and just a coffee and danish at Starbucks across the street the next day. When we chose to shop and alternate food venues, we discovered that Broadway at the Beach was a mile up on the closest cross street. In general combining warm ocean temps, closeness of food and entertainment helpful and cheery staff made this great, We'll be back!! April 12, 2011 - We came sight unseen, always leary of what we might find but this hotel was everything the pictures show and more. We had a really nice room, loved the grounds and the swimming pools. We were in the Palms building but loved that we could go from pool to pool. The location is excellent, could walk to so many places including the boardwalk. The only negative thing for my husband was no coffee in the room. He walked across the street to Starbucks every morning which was convenient but would have been nice if they had coffee in the room. The price was crazy low, loved that. We definitely will stay here again if we come for another visit. April 8, 2011 - I have stayed at the Breakers for 3 years in a row during my daughter Christine's cheerleading competition held locally / nearby. The 3 bedroom condo that we rented was extremely clean and spacious. Although I was sick as a dog - I appreciated the room perhaps more since I spent so much time there recuperating! The ocean-front condo boasts a 180 degree view of the ocean. Check in and out was seamless. The hotel staff, the wait staff at the Hotel Bar to the Bellman's southern hospitality were really outstanding. I travel all the time for business - The Breakers is a 4 star destination with a 3 star price. Quite a value! The location and amenities for a family vacation are superb. Mar 24, 2011 - When we arrived at the Breakers north tower, The check in guy was very helpful, proficient and courteous. We went up to the fourth floor ocean front. The room was exactly how it was pictured to be. The view was inspiring, looking over the heated pool and the hot tub. The room was neat, and clean. The bathroom was sparkling white. The room had a kitchen which was small but sufficent enough to service it's purpose. There were dishes in the cabinets, everything we needed. In our room was also a washer and dryer which helped make the room so much more user friendly. (Yes, we had a suite :D). The couch folded out to a bed. We had absolutely NO problem with our room at all. WE were so happy during our visit that we really didnt want to go home, especially after experiencing the heated pool and the hot tub. Granted that it must have been 30 degrees outside at night with the wind coming off the ocean but when we were in the hot tub, it was like being in a warm tropical paradise. Oh yea! they also have a weight room and sauna! The women's sauna is seperated from the men's but it's the best place to go after dipping in the pool. The service staff was the upmost friendliest, everything I needed they made sure to have it right to me. The woman at the desk at night (Mrs. Martha) is the sweetest lady ever. I really really want to go back! THE ONLY NEGATIVE ABOUT THIS HOTEL....... BAD CELL PHONE SERVICE. COULDNT GET A SIGNAL. Mar 11, 2011 - The North Tower location was actually a lot nicer than the main Breakers resort which I also found amazing. The room we stayed at the north tower was larger and looked nicer and more modern overall. We also got an ocean front room when we just walked in on a Saturday night at 9 p.m. which was very nice. The location is a little further from the main attractions but its still only a 5 minute drive. I would recommend this hotel as well as the main Breakers resort. Mar 7, 2011 - My wife and I had an excellent 30 night stay at the Breaker's North Tower in Myrtle Beach for the month of February. As in the past years, the staff was friendly, courteous, attentive to detail. The facility (rooms, hallways, elevators, lobby, restaurant,....) were clean, airy, well maintained. The addition of the continental breakfast this year was a very nice touch to the overall experience. We have already booked for 2012 !!! Counting the days to arrival. Mar 6, 2011 - Great stay. We had several friends coming in from all directions and the three bedrooms gave us all our 'own space' with a common living area for social time. The rooms were well maintained, clean, spacious and well decorated. The kitchen had all the needed gadgets for basic snack and meal preparations. The view was wonderful and we each had our private balcony. The off season rates are great for getting together for birthdays and celebrations. Mar 5, 2011 - We have stayed at many hotels. This is the best we have stayed at. The staff was great. They helped with and recommending with area attractions and dining. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The beds were as good as if not better than we have at home. The continental breakfast was better than most we have had. We had ocean front and the view was fantastic. We will be going back.
