Hampton Inn Broadway at the BeachCourtesy of TripAdvisor Reviews for Hampton Inn Broadway at the Beach of Myrtle Beach
November 3, 2011 - The hotel is part of the Broadway @ The Beach entertainment complex. It’s convenient to the Highway 17 bypass, a mile or so from the ocean and just under 6 miles from the airport. My room was on the 2nd floor which is lobby level. I was in an even numbered room which looked out toward the complex. I had a partial view of the pool and some large palm trees. The hotel is fairly new and the room was nicely furnished, including a microwave and refrigerator. The TV looked to be a 30” or so flat screen. There was a large selection of channels. The only ones listed as being in high definition on the guide were the local channels. But when I tuned into the channel numbers listed on the guide there was no signal on the HD channels. The free Wi Fi was easy to connect to and required entering a security code provided on the back of the room key envelope. The signal was faster than some of the Hampton Inns that I had stayed in recently. The bathroom was larger than that of the many hotels in the chain. The breakfast area was one of the larger ones I have seen, but I’m sure in the summer season the ample seating is a necessity. The indoor and outdoor pool looked inviting but my stay was too short to partake. Parking in front of the hotel is free. You are provided a hang tag for the rear view mirror to denote your status as a guest. The real benefit of this hotel is its location in the complex. There are numerous restaurants of all sizes in the complex along with entertainment options that include a movie and IMAX theater, miniature golf and amusement rides. I can’t speak to the rates during the peak season, but the room was a good value when I stayed in late October. November 3, 2011 - We stayed for 2 nights as part of a college visit. The room was clean, nice size and modern. The bathroom was updated with new floor & shower tile, the vanity was nice & roomy. The beds were comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and extra helpful. Coffee was available all day. Cookies are available in the evening if you can catch them before they are gobbled up. There is a free business center, along with wifi. The pool, hot tub and sauna were nice. An awesome Myrtle Beach location, especially if you want to be near action, but not in the center of it. I would definitely go back, it offered all of the amenities I need for a good, comfortable stay. October 31, 2011 - I was recently in Myrtle Beach for a business trip and stayed at this hotel. I was amazed at how beautiful the lobby was when I went to check in. The staff, especially Jessica, were extremely friendly and helpful with directions to my meeting. They also gave me a list of things to do in my free time. This hotel is located right in the center of everything. The room I had was very nice and I could tell they had just redone the bathroom with a beautiful tile and vanity top. Most importantly...the room was CLEAN!! I tend to be skeptic with cleanliness at hotels in a beach location, but it really was immaculate. Overall the stay was great...I will definitely be bringing my family back here when I can truly enjoy all that the Hampton Inn and the Broadway at the Beach complex have to offer. October 19, 2011 - I'm a big fan of Hampton Inn, and this site was probably the best one I have ever stayed at. The location is fantastic! You literally walk out the back of the hotel and there's a Margaritaville right there. The whole Boardwalk at the Beach concept is fun and gives families fun options for restaurants and entertainment. My room was excellent. Clean, as always, with a nice TV and good working wi-fi. The staff were friendly and helpful. GREAT place to stay while you're in Myrtle Beach. October 6, 2011 - My husband and I were on our honeymoon and stayed at this hotel at the beginning of September and we enjoyed every day we were there. We stayed in the jacuzzi king suite which was twice the size of a regular hotel room. The king sized bed was amazing and very comfortable, wish i could have brought in back home to Northern Ireland! The complementary breakfast was really nice, fresh fruit, make-your-own waffles, cereal, and different flavored coffees. The breakfast attendent was so nice! She gave us names of different places to go in Myrtle Beach. We had a balcony overlooking broadway at the beach and it was great sitting out in the warm evenings. Im not exactly sure of the housekeeping schedule but each time we had the door hanger not on "Do not disturb" the room was cleaned to an impeccable standard. The complex as a whole is very good as well, loads of places to eat and drink. There are a bunch of great shops to browse in, really liked the t-shirt shops. We only went to the beach once because there was so much to occupy our time at broadway. At the hotel there is an indoor and outdoor pool and there are sun loungers to lay on around the outdoor pool. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. We had never been to Myrtle Beach before and we have an absolutely lovely time. So glad we chose this hotel for our honeymoon :) September 29, 2011 - After a few years of staying at beach front locations on our visits to Myrtle Beach, this year we decided to try something new. Just got home from a 2 night stay at the Hampton and LOVED it. The bed was comfortable. The shower was the best we have EVER had at a hotel. Loved eating at Joes Crab Shack and Margaritaville then walking around the boardwalk enjoying the atmosphere. And the fact that they served breakfast and had coffee always available was AWESOME!!! July 23, 2011 - We used our HH points to stay for 5 days..first time to Myrtle Beach and we loved it, this hotel is the average Hampton but the location can't be beat..you can shop, eat,go to the theater, ride carnival rides, all without having to get in your car. It is not far to the ocean and we went to the beach daily. I recommend taking a drive to Murrells inlet and Pawleys island for a change of pace. My only complaints for this hotel would be that during our stay they seemed to be having issues with the only two elevators they have. We had to take the steps up six floors a couple of times. The pools were nice but the indoor pool worried me a bit. There was a light that was supposed to be under water that was sitting on the edge of the pool with the wires running into the hole in the side of the pool. It seems like that is a big electrical shock risk but people were in the water. The room was clean and staff were friendly. I would stay here again. July 6, 2011 - When my boyfriend booked the hotel I had no idea what to expect. The hotel was located right in walking distance of what they called Broadway at the Beach. It kind of reminded me of Coney Island. I thought it was a great location to be at. The staff at the hotel was friendly, although they seemed to be a tad bit under staffed. There were several times that I passed the front desk and there was only one person working while the phone was ringing off of the hook. The bedroom was just like I expected a hotel room to be, very clean, no complaints there. This is truly a family friendly hotel. We went swimming often in the pool and both times there were children every where, whether it was the indoor or outdoor pool. If you're looking for a nice place to bring your family that is about a five minute drive or so from the beach, then this is the place. I wouldn't say it is a place for a couples. I can't count the number of times I was splashed by kids in the pool. June 22, 2011 - We picked this Hampton Inn & Suites at Broadway at the Beach because it is in a great location and very convenient for all of Myrtle Beach. You are only 15 minutes to Murrells Inlet and North Myrtle Beach. I was on business and down time with friends. I would highly recommend this hotel just for the convenience of restaurants and nightlife for clients but also a great family hotel for kid's entertainment and shopping. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were great with good beds, cool a/c, flat screen TV, wireless and especially water pressure in the shower. My room overlooked Broadway at the Beach what a great view of everything. The hotel is so convenient that we could walk to the shops, restaurants, movie theater and nightlife. The beach was very easy to get to and park. Thanks and I look forward to staying here again. June 2, 2011 - Overall we had a nice stay. Rooms were clean, stay was friendly, and the location was great if you enjoy Broadway at the Beach. The walls in the room are a little thin and you can hear everything that is going on in the hall. This is a nice place to stay for a short stop and you can avoid the ghetto on the beachfront. May 13, 2011 - Just your average Hampton but a good location for access to Myrtle Beach. We had a Water View King Suite on the 3rd floor. We saw the water but more of the amusement rides from our window. It was quiet but being off season, the rides weren't doing much business. I expect in the summer, it could get quite noisy. The hotel was clean and breakfast was same old Hampton. April 23, 2011 - I have stayed at Hampton Inn-BATB many times since 2000. It is always a pleasure and like coming home. Check-in was fast and courteous and as always I was welcomed back. The room was spotless and spacious. We had a king bed with sleeper sofa. These rooms are larger than the rooms with 2 queen beds. The decor had been updated and frankly it looked like a just-built motel. All staff was smiling and helpful, especially the housekeeping staff. The breakfast was great and being parked at Broadway at the Beach meant we seldom moved the car. We stayed 4 days and 3 nights on an extended weekend trip. The weather could not have been better after the tornado warnings passed. These days you don't always get what you pay for. Here, you do. I will be back again and again. As long as you do not need the beach out your front window this is the place to stay in Myrtle Beach. April 8, 2011 - Perfect place to meet family for a long weekend! Hotel was very clean & the staff was friendly & helpful. We arrived early & our room wasn't ready. They went ahead & checked us in & took my cell # so that we could go ahead & hit the boardwalk. Every staff member that we had interaction with from the front desk to the cleaning staff was so nice. The location was perfect! Once parked in the lot at the hotel there was never a reason to drive anywhere. There was PLENTY for the kids to do & lots of choices for food. The kids also enjoyed the indoor pool. We will go back same time next year. Send us your review of Hampton Inn Broadway at the Beach today. Check out our complete list of Myrtle Beach Hotels.
