Hilton Garden InnCourtesy of TripAdvisor Reviews for Hilton Garden Inn of Myrtle Beach
December 12, 2011 - Located conveniently to most everything a business traveler needs, this relatively new hotel is a fine addition to the mostly tacky overpriced hotels in Myrtle Beach. While a chain it is quiet, comfortable, fully equipped and well staffed. Great, great beds. Good internet service. Good restaurant. November 29, 2011 - This is a great new hotel, with clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff. Since it is right next to a mall this could be located anywhere in America. You definitely don't feel like you're close to the beach. That could be a good thing or a bad thing. For us it was perfect as we were in Myrtle Beach for a tournament and needed a comfortable place to stay without all the distractions. Mission accomplished. November 18, 2011 - This hotel was pretty nice and clean. Had good rate because of offseason of beach. Close to mall, restaurants and movies. A slight drive to the beach maybe 6 minutes in traffic. Overall nice place with nice size rooms. October 2, 2011 - Unless you're looking for a hotel within walking distance from the ocean, this hotel is perfect for you. Clean rooms & extremely comfortable beds are abundant here. My only complaint is that the breakfast isn't free, but it's well worth the price. Try the French toast! Also, front desk was fabulous. Christa was extremely friendly & made us feel special. Thanks for everything HGI Myrtle Beach! Will be coming back! September 14, 2011 - Conveniently located 1 mile from Airport, and walking distance to Coastal Grand Mall. 10 min drive to beach. Room was very clean and bed was comfy. Front desk manager, Raymond, was gracious and helpful during our stay. August 12, 2011 - We needed to book a one night stay here to prolong out trip- the booking process was easy and we were able to check in early. Our room was clean and everything was very nice. The only downside to this particular hotel was the check-in staff and housekeeping. The man who checked us in had a "I'm doing you a favor" attitude and when we asked for 2 cribs (we have twins) he said that he sent housekeeping to look for them. When they got to our room with one crib only and we asked about the other one they said okay but we got really dirty looks as if we were crazy. The other crib arrived while we were at dinner. There was a different man at the desk when we came back and he was extremely nice. I think it may have just been the one guy having a bad day or something. I would come back here to stay again. August 4, 2011 - I'm usually very picky about hotels but the Hilton Garden was a great hotel in a good location. Me and my family went on a mini vacation to Myrtle Beach. The room was a good size for us all. Even got to adjust the comfortness of the bed. Air condition and water pressure was a plus. Staff was nice and friendly. Services were good. We got room service each of the three days we stood. Wasn't far from the beach or from Broadway. There was a mall next to us and a Walmart not to far. We'll be back for sure. June 27, 2011 - We stayed here because our hotel on the beach reservation was not able to add us a day early. It is very convenient to the mall and restaurants nearby. My boys went straight to the indoor pool and enjoyed a swim. Unfortunately, the front desk was rude. Here is what happened. My husband signed us in(taking 2 cookies from the counter-without my knowledge) and then we went to dinner. Upon return, I walked in with the bellhop cart and two boys while husband parked. We approached the counter. I handed each child 2 cookies and then grabbed one for my husband and myself. Immediately the front desk person shouted, "Hey! We have 25 more guests tonight!" I asked if it was ok for the boys to have theirs and offered mine back because I was so embarrassed. He continued to say, "Mercy! Some people!", very loudly. I had just arrived and was new to the facility. The tray said "compliments". I certainly did not slide the tray onto my lap or anything. We simply took enough for our family. I can say that I'm sure he realized we were with my husband who had already taken a couple, but I had no idea until he came back to the room. Regardless, if the staff is going to set out a plate of warm cookies, they should expect guests to enjoy them and not harass and embarrass them in front of other guests.Otherwise, the hotel was clean and we had a lovely sleep. June 7, 2011 - I stayed there during the fourth of July weekend for a family reunion. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. All of my family enjoyed their stay there. I am sure if we decide to have another family reunion in Myrtle Beach this will be the hotel we select. Mar 31, 2011 - From the minute I walked in the door, I felt at home! This hotel has to be one of the best I have ever stayed at! The entire staff was amazing and the omelet at breakfast was delicious! I would absolutely recommend this hotel and I will stay at the Hilton Garden Inn every time I visit Myrtle Beach! Mar 25, 2011 - My first trip to myrtle beach, in August... it was super hot!!!!!!!!!! The hotel was nice and clean- I do not recall a lot of parking spaces. The room was nice and clean as well as the hotel. Used the fitness center a few times- it had enough machines. The outdoor pool and whirl pool was a nice touch! they also had an indoor pool that I did not use. Breakfast in the morning I never had at the hotel- although, would occasionally come down to the lobby for coffee or request a plastic utensil for my own yogurt. The attendant there was very rude- did not smile and was not welcoming. I pick up silverware and she actually told me NO put that down- didn't tell me what she was doing and offered me a plastic utensil and was not hospitable. Lastly, Business center was a nice touch. Besides that 1 interaction- thanks for the great stay! Jan 28, 2011 - Stayed here off season for a great rate. Very nice hotel--large, super clean room, soft fluffy towels, very comfortable beds and absolutely no noise from nearby airport. Only negative is that breakfast is expensive ($10 for anything) and not included in room. Really not a problem to find another place--Cracker Barrel very close as well as others. Warm tasty cookies waiting for us when we returned after dinner. Close to shopping or movies for evening entertainment. We'd stay here again. Oct 9, 2010 - Our company had booked us in the Hilton Garden for our hotel stay as well as for use of their meeting rooms for our conference. The hotel rooms were very nice and spacious and the beds very comfortable. The morning breakfast was very good and served by a wonderfully attentive staff. My personal mistake was not allowing enough time to get down to breakfast before out meetings began. We are used to being offered a buffet -self serve type of breakfast where we have stayed in the past. At the Hilton, a server come to take your order and it is prepared fresh back in their kitchen. Not knowing the extra time would be needed for that type of prep, I arrived a little too close to my meeting start time to get to completely enjoy my breakfast. (no fault of the staff) Would definitely stay there again and recommend it highly. It is right on the property with the Coastal grand mall and nearby to several good restaurants. Sep 7, 2010 - Very nice hotel, clean convenient to the mall and airport. We stayed here to avoid a long drive to catch a flight for vacation. Staff at the front desk were wonderful and went out of the way to get us to the airport on time when our cab did not show. The restaurant is another matter. Our waitress was just nasty when we wouldn't fill out some card to recommend her for some award. We felt the service was good but not worth any special recognition. we'll stay here again but will not eat here if we see this waitress. Send us your review of Hilton Garden Inn today.
