• Total relaxation

November 9, 2011 - I went to Myrtle Beach on a minutes notice. The weather looked good and I needed a break. The room was clean, centrally located and the staff was helpful and pleasant. Because it was off-season, my costs were ridiculously low, yet the service was still 1st class. Thank you for a clean and comfortable room with an incredible view.


• Nice inexpensive hotel

October 31, 2011 - We have stayed at the Hotel Blue several times over the years. We go to this place because it has been recently renovated and the price is always good. We always get the oceanfront which is always nice. They have kitchens... What we really like is the swim up bar. They have a pretty decent pool and lots of lawn chairs to relax on. They have a spot on both sides of the pool to lounge in the water with your chair! Overall I would recommend this place if you're looking for something in Myrtle that is decent in price and has had a recent renovation to upgrade things!


• Wonderful, Relaxing Vacation

October 12, 2011 - We have been going to Myrtle Beach for years and Hotel Blue was the best hotel we have stayed at. Our room was clean and the hotel employees were all so nice. This is not what a lot of people would consider a luxury hotel due to the fact it is not a brand new hotel, but lets face it sometimes new is not always better. My husband and I had the most relaxing time and enjoyed our stay so much that for the first time in years we honestly wished we had more time to stay. So thank you Hotel Blue for a wonderful relaxing vacation!


• Great trip, good hotel.

September 9, 2011 - We were supposed to be staying at another hotel, but canceled our reservations last minute and needed ocean front efficiency for 10 nights. Hotel Blue had great rates. Under $1000 for ocean front efficiency. Room was clean, but a little dated and in need of some basic repairs, not enough to have maintenance look at during stay, but notified front desk at check out. Pool area was wonderful. Swim up pool bar was great as well as the very large hot tub. Shared amenities with sister hotel Captains Quarters. Only complaint would be that there was no indoor pool, but there was a indoor lazy river and hot tub. Being a young couple with no children it was great for us. Wouldn't recommend for families with small children. The sister resort Captains Quarters is a lot more family friendly with multiple kids pools and outdoor pools. My parents and mother in law also stayed with us at Hotel Blue and their rooms were very clean and had no issues. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family without children.


• What a great place to stay with your family

September 4, 2011 - We had so much fun here. I can not find one thing bad to say about this place. I want to think every one at Hotel Blue for every thing yall have done for us here at our stay. The fire alarm went off at 9Am the first night we stayed here and we had to get a new room key cause we locked our self out when it went off. But the guy at the front desk was very nice about giving us a new one. We will be back here next year. I son and my girlfriend had so much fun. This was my sons first beach trip and he loved it. The pool was great. We had a room on the 8th floor witch was a side ocean view, and wow it was so nice to see the ocean every morn. We got here early and was told our room was not ready yet but we could get another room that was ready so we did. We was very happy with it. Salty the shark was so great to. My son loved him and didn't want to leave his side lol. The live music by the pool was so great to hear while we were laying in the sun. I want to thank every one at Hotel Blue again. We will miss this place, but we will be back again next year, and will be staying longer with yall.


• Good hotel would stay again

August 16, 2011 - We have stayed at hotel blue (old tropical winds) at least 5 times. The hotel parking is great. It is very convenient and if you get a suite you can park right out side your door. The maid service is good the maids are very pleasant also. Maintenance is very prompt. Hotel has a nice pool with a bar, music day and night, lifeguards at the pool, childrens activities. We have stayed at other hotels over the years but we end up going back to hotel blue. Even the price for the rooms are good compared to other hotels. Its also in walking distance to family kingdom and waterslide park and many other places.


• Great place to spend quality family time!!

July 20, 2011 - We love the easy beach access. The kids love being able to go to all the pools which include the pools at Hotel Blue's sister hotel Captains Quarters. This property is very close to the amusement park and also includes access to a bowling alley, arcade and a swim up pool bar. The hotel also offers daily pool activities and live entertainment. One evening we even had the opportunity to see Chief and his fire sticks. The maid service was exceptional and the Lobby staff were always very helpful and polite. Our kids never want to stay anywhere else!!!


• Can’t wait to come back!!

July 14, 2011 - This place was awesome for the price! And to have a full kitchen saved me a lot of money dining out. Room was very clean, Everyone was friendly and very courteous. Breath taking view from the 15th floor with your own private balcony. I will definitely make this the only hotel I stay at in Myrtle Beach. Cant wait to go back..


• We loved it and we’ll be back!

June 27, 2011 - We took our grandaughter as a graduation present and we all had a great time. The room was very clean and we had a great ocean view terrace that I loved. Everyone very friendly and helpful. The whole facility was very clean. The only thing we found lacking was a night time restaurant for dinner. Over all it was great and if we get back to Myrtle Beach we will definitely stay there again. The only other thing is we had a high top van which they are suppose to reserve for big vehicles but we found compact cars and motorcycles taking up the spaces. We were lucky enough to always find one spot empty but if we hadn't we would have complained. Some people just can't read the signs.


• Great Place... Great Location

Apr 9, 2011 - This was a last minute trip and we wanted to relax. We had a wonderful room and had a beautiful 2 balcony suite. It was a great room for the price!! Will definitely stay again at Hotel Blue!!!


• Impressed

Mar 11, 2011 - Overall, i am impressed with hotel blue. Check in was smooth and friendly clerks. We were very pleased with our room and its cleanliness. (We go the king suite). The balcony view was great. Parking is tight in some spaces but not too much of an unbearable problem. You will have access to the sister propery Captains Quarters. i'll say that i liked their indoor pool and spas better. Overall i enjoyed my stay.


• Nice Average Hotel

Feb 23, 2011 - We stayed here for an overnight getaway in February. We live in Sumter SC (about an 1hr 45min away) and had some family come down to visit for the weekend. Like we usually do we tried to make up an excuse to head to myrtle beach and they thought it sounded like a good idea. Living close we travel to myrtle beach a lot so we like to try different hotels. Hotel blue was a nice descent priced hotel, that was in perfect location to all the surrounding things to do. The bowling alley at sister hotel Captains Quarters is very nice also! I would definitley stay here again for a weekend trip, buy maybe not for a week long vacation.


• Great Place to Stay!

Jan 25, 2011 - We have stayed here for several years and I have to say that they have improved each year. The pool is nice and clean and I love the parking. The only reason I would consider going to another hotel is because they don't allow pets.

The only thing I don't like is the "no smoking on pool deck or in the pool" rule is not enforced. I don't like people flicking their ashes in the pool. Another thing is I found that employees brought in a gang at night on weekends which included a bunch of kids jumping in and out of the pool.


• Terrible Hotel

Jan 3, 2011 - Guest service told us, we would have oceanfront, We didn't, it was sideview. The carpet was dirty and the beds was rough. My husband is 6 foot, He couldn't even get in the bathroom without hitting his head. They had burned stains on the tub. We called guest services b/c we wasn't happy with the room. We tried to get our money back, we paid cash and the manager dallas, told us we had to wait 4 to 6 weeks and they was going to send a check. So we had to go pay some more money for another hotel.
