• Very relaxing

October 26, 2011 - First trip at the Landmark, usually stay in 5-star hotel but this time couldn't turn down the deal. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very nice. I really liked the pools and how clean they were also. The mini golf is also a plus for the family. We were on the 12th floor oceanfront and it really was relaxing and I got a lot of rest. I would recommend this hotel and do plan to stay again in the near future.


• Well worth the money

October 12, 2011 - We stayed in an angle view suite for three nights. The room had a great floor plan with a door that closed off the living room area, making it great for privacy and sleeping. Plenty of pools to choose from, the one across the street was by far the least used and the best kept. the front desk staff was pleasant enough, but seemed to lack knowledge about the area and attractions. The airport shuttle was a big draw and our driver (Troy) was very pleasant and had good tips for us as we were new to the area. A better explanation of the facilities would have made things easier, and service in the bar area (food) was really slow, though it looked to be under staffed. It was well worth the money, and a great place for families.


• My stay

September 25, 2011 - I stayed at the Landmark years ago on vacation, it was well worth the price with what it offered. The long lazy river makes for a good place to relax. The restaurant on site makes it very convenient. The rooms are good size, cause you're not there to spend all your time in the room. It was nice to have a bar close by to the pool, when the weather is good and hot. I would stay again.


• We would come back again

August 27, 2011 - Staff was friendly and helpful, pool area well kept and clean, Lounge was very nice-recently remodeled-food was GREAT, gift shop (reasonable), all wonderful! We didn't eat at the Gazebo Restaraunt, sort of forgot about it until we came upon it. Thought the bar prices were a bit high priced especially on mixed drinks. Room was very clean up on arrival (TY Belinda! she left her card-none of the others did), 2nd day room was serviced but wasn't as well as upon arrival, bed wasn't made, left a huge amount of extra towels on our bed, didn't put bags in all trash cans- but did leave some, 3rd day room well tended/cleaned, Our 4th and last day room was again well tended/cleaned. There is some visible (paint chipping) on tables, other than that, everything thing in our room 1048 was great! We will say, we did open our BR curtain just a bit (about a 3in. gap) for a reason- when we returned found it closed-sorta of made us wonder...Very thankful the room had a safe in it and we did use it, we didn't find anything else missing :-) A few suggestions might be: to close off the pool area near the bar for adults/couples without children (perhaps no children under 18 permitted in this area after ?) This would give adults w/o children a place to relax..., also a map of the resort would be handy as well. YES, we would stay at Landmark again, great rates!, and a lot on site for folks to do and for the most part, great service.


• Very family friendly resort

August 9, 2011 - We stayed at this resort in July 2011 and truly enjoyed our stay. We were in an oceanfront room that had a balcony - the room was very clean and well maintained. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay somewhere nice in Myrtle Beach, right on the ocean, with their family.


• We will definitely be back and would highly recommend staying here!

July 23, 2011 - We had a fabulous vacation experience at Landmark Resort, and will definintely be back for a return visit. This was our second stay, and it was even better than before. The hotel suite was extremely clean and very spacious to accomodate our family. Every staff member we encountered, whether at the service desk or simply in passing, was very friendly and gracious, and made us feel very welcome and at home. The manager on duty when we checked in made certain that we received the VERY BEST deal on our reservations, and she saved us quite a bit of money. We definitely recommend the Landmark to families or couples. There is something for everyone here!


• Landmark remains our home away from home

July 4, 2011 - This is a terrific place to stay. Resort has it all! Great value too! That is why our family has stayed here for the past 15 years or so.

Pools are super nice and best in town. The views from our ocean-view room were incredible. We noticed many updates to the rooms and building. Plus, the hotel was cleaner than we have ever seen it. Our family also appreciated the umbrellas pool side as a it allowed a skin cancer survivor to sit outside all day and enjoy the fun! The hotel even had bands playing by the pool each day which was a nice and free treat. Hotel is close to the Coastal Grand Mall where you can shop and find some nice restaurants- but you really don't need to leave this hotel as it has it all. The food at the hotel bar is fairly priced and very good.

Our only complaint is that we had to return home to Southern Ohio and likely won't get back to the Landmark until June of 2012.


• Great value at a great family Resort

June 7, 2011 - We just enjoyed an early season stay at the Landmark and appreciate the overall quality of this resort. Each member of their wonderful staff provided us with the best service possible. We have vacationed here for many years and look forward to extra trips throughout the summer. Their restaurant, pub and many water features make it hard to ever leave the grounds. The facility was in its usual great condition and they have done a super job on the room and lobby renovations. My family is still enjoying their hospitality even though I had to return home early for work. I felt very comfortable leaving them in the safe hands of all those who make the Landmark Resort a special place. Manager Tom, please share our good thoughts with your team.


• Awesome!

May 20, 2011 - Our stay was great! We were put into one of the remodeled rooms which was clean, updated, comfortable and had everything my boyfriend and I needed. The view was great and we spent both mornings wrapped up in a blanket watching the sunrise. The pool was maintenanced daily and clean. The staff was friendly and easy going. We enjoyed our stay and plan to take our kids the next time we go back. There was plenty of things to do. In the evening there was a live band and bar next to the pool which was a good time. People of all ages were relaxing and enjoying their stay. The hotel itself was clean, the bar was under renovation inside, but the construction didn’t have any loud noise or saw dust to even remotely ruin our stay. We will definitely be returning. The price was reasonable, and the location was perfect. Definitely recommend to any couple or family looking to get away to visit the beach


• Landmark Found Us a Suite at 1:30 AM!

Apr 24, 2011 - Had reservation elsewhere. It was a place we could not stay in. We had to find another place to stay in a matter of hours. Landmark had a suite available that we could use. It was a 1-bedrm ocean view [2 beds & a sofa] with 1.5 bathrooms. UNIQUE Bathroom had 1 shower with toilet sink room on each side--great for 4 people. Suite was basic & clean. Kitchen was well used but had all functional items; basic and functional TVs; sofa cushion was ripped. Hallways were noisy and sandy and battered by the many guests; good to have a parking structure that was enclosed and connected with an above street walkway. Massive place with lots things to do. Lots of pools. On-site laundry facility.


• Had a Great Time

Apr 11, 2011 - My 2 kids (3 and 7), my husband and I stayed at the Landmark for a weekend get away. It was great. The hotel is old and could use some updating, but the room was clean. I always bring our own sheets and blankets no matter where we stay, but even when I removed their blankets, they were clean. The floors, bathroom, kitchen and living area were all clean as well. Service was great. Very friendly! The walkway over the street was a huge plus so we didn't have to worry about crossing the busy road with our kids. The pool area, were we spent most of our time, was great for the kids! So many pools to choose from! That area was also clean. We had a great time and would suggest the Landmark for a weekend getaway.


• Would Not Stay Anywhere Else in Myrtle Beach With My Kids

Apr 8, 2011 - Have been coming here for years with my kids. Is a nice, very friendly, clean place. Very affordable. Every room has a small kitchenette. Right on the beach. There are several swimming pools, hot tubs, 2 lazy rivers, mini gold, games room, computer room and much more.


• Great Time, Bad Service

Apr 4, 2011 - We went to Myrtle Beach for spring break and had a wonderful time there and wanted to stay another night. My husband checked with the manager about staying another night and she quoted us a price and told us that we could let them know since the hotel was in no danger of reaching capacity. The next night my husband went down to the desk to book another night and a different manager was on duty and quoted us a price of 32 dollars more and my husband explained what the previous manager had told him and he refused to give us the room for 32 dollars less. My husband went down later that night and he still refused to go down on one night. We decided to leave the next day because we did not want to give any more of our business to the Landmark Resort. We will go back because it is a fabulous place to vacation, but there are a million places to stay and we will not stay at the Landmark because of our experience with a NON customer service hotel.


• Great

Apr 3, 2011 - After reading the reviews for many hotels in Myrtle Beach I was overwhelmed. Every single hotel had more horrible reviews than good. Tired of researching, I just choose the Landmark. I’m glad that I did. The price was amazing and our room was nice. I mean as the saying goes, you get what you pay for, but this time we got more than what we paid for. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are taking our daughter back this weekend. She is so excited. I would suggest bringing your own bed linens, as theirs is very worn. FYI housekeeping was great. She gave us everything we asked for, of course we tipped her :)
