• Another great stay at Long Bay

October 11, 2011 - Every year for the last 15 years we have made a golf trip to Myrtle Beach and every year we come back to Long Bay Resort. We always get the 3 bedroom condos, the rooms are always clean with great views. The staff is extremely helpful with any needs you may have. We will definitlely be back for year 16.


• GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!!!

September 25, 2011 - My husband and I arrived without a reservation after leaving the Patricia Grand because it was awful and were greeted by the best staff and given a great oceanfront one-bedroom suite. From the moment we arrived we were impressed. Everything you need in on-site. The entire property is clean and well maintained. We will stay here again and again and recommend it to everyone! Great place, great location.


• Fantastic place to stay!

September 17, 2011 - My first visit to Long Bay and I was not disappointed! I had reserved a room that was really too small for my party and they upgraded us as soon as a larger room was available. I was so impressed when the staff even moved all of our stuff to the new room. I had no problems with WiFi connection. It worked every time I used it. The property was clean and well cared for. The pools were great and the location was out of the hustle and bustle of the main drag! Will definitely recommend to my friends and coworkers and will return again next year!


• We have a new family vacation spot!

August 13, 2011 - We just got back from our week at Long Bay Resort and I must say we were very happy with everything. All the employees we encountered were very helpful and friendly. Our room was very large and spacious. All was cleaned very well and well-stocked with towels and necessities. Our 4-year-old loved the water park and we had to play there every day. I must admit that I really enjoyed playing at the water park with him. It was never crowded at all. We enjoyed walking to the beach and spending time there. The ping-pong tables, and life-size chess and checkers games were a lot of fun. The hotel is in a great location- easy to find your way around. Parking was great- being able to park close to the room was nice. We enjoyed the delicious buffet breakfast many days. I read many, many hotel reviews before choosing Long Bay Resort and I am so happy I made this choice. I had actually chosen another hotel, but cancelled that reservation for this one. Long Bay is an older resort, but is very clean and comfortable and has so many great amenities and is such a good price, that I don't know how anyone can complain. We will definitely be going back there for future family vacations.


• Outstanding Service! Fun Time!

July 30, 2011 - If you are looking for a good value with great service, look no further. Long Bay exceeded our expectations in every way. The pools and lazy river were a blast for the kids and they stayed in them all day. Housekeeping service was great and Martins restaurant was outstanding. We have stayed at Long Bay the past three years and have never been disappointed. Thanks for a great vacation!!!


• Great hotel, friendly staff, family friendly

July 13, 2011 - This hotel was great! We went during 'Grad Week' and we were not disturbed at all!! You have to be 25 or older to rent a room at Long Bay - so no crazy kids:) My children loved the Kid's Camp - there was an extra cost for some activities, just an fyi. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were very clean -which is great bc I am a clean freak. The Housekeeping Ladies were especially nice:) All the pools were great and kept clean. The 'big pool' would get a little crowded late morning. The beach was clean and not crowded. There was plenty of room to spread out your blanket and build sand castles. I highly recommend this hotel! We had a wonderful time!


• Our Favorite Hotel in Myrtle Beach

June 23, 2011 - Our family stays at the Long Bay several times each year. Also, I have referred family members in Virginia to the hotel. They found it to be just as pleasurable as we have. Parking is convenient, there is plenty for the kids to enjoy, and the restaurant is among the best at Myrtle Beach.


• Loved Loved Loved!!!

June 4, 2011 - This resort was spectacular!!! The people were the friendliest we have ever encountered. We did a family vacation here, and it was awesome for the kids. The beach is gorgeous, and very clean, the pools spotless, and the other amenities were superb! The room absolutely exceeded our expectations, we had an ocean front 3 bedroom condo. The space was wonderful, clean, and outstanding! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The beds were wonderfully comfortable.


• Accommodations for a golf package

May 14, 2011 - Our foursome has stayed at Long Bay Resort for the last 3 years and find it to be one of the best, if not the best, place to stay for a week of golf and leisure. The golf department has never failed to accommodate us with courses and tee times we requested. The overall hotel staff (desk clerks, housecleaning, etc.) is also very accommodating and efficient. The on site restaurant is a plus for breakfast and the parking garage is a bonus for convenience in loading and unloading luggage and golf bags.


• We Will Be Back!!!

May 3, 2011 - We stayed at the Long Bay resort over a weekend and we love our time there, we had a three bedroom condo in the Savoy bld. The condo was really nice, there were a few minor things that could be done here and there, but with so many people coming through it is to be expected. There was one issue I feel they should have already known about so we did not call because you could tell this had been going on for a while, there was a leak in the shower of the master bedroom bath, the ceiling was wet and had old water marks. I reported it when we checked out as I new there was not to much they could do at that very moment with us there. Would this make me not want to stay there again? No way, but I would expect that it would be fixed if I return to the same condo. The pools were clean and they were checked and clean daily, the on site restaurant for breakfast was as good as the last time, finally someone who can cook grits LOL!!! Starbucks on site is a nice touch as well, Long Bay is located a ways from all the traffic and crowds just the way I like it. We enjoyed seeing Chubby Checker and the Spinners downtown for the start of May Fest, the spinners put on a show I would have paid top dollar for, and it was all free. We had a great time and Lord willing we will be returning to Long Bay for a whole week at the same time next year.


• Wonderful Vacation Spot!

May 2, 2011 - Wonderful hotel for families. Stayed in the 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo for the same price of a one room, one bath at many other resorts. The extra bathroom was great for showering, etc. after the pool. Martins restaurant was great and having a Starbucks in the hotel was also wonderful. Golf can be charged to the room and the hotel offered discount tickets to the Aquarium which were better than internet rate or other coupon books.


• Bad Experience… Would Not Stay Here Again

Apr 30, 2011 - I was shocked to have such a horrible experience at this resort after reading all of the recent positive reviews. It makes me wonder who is writing these? We had a group of 35 family and friends, adults and children. Every room had the same issues; housekeeping. Our room was dirty at arrival and did not get much better with the several complaints that we had. The manager was very nice and attempted to help by offering "VIP" service for the remainder of our stay, to all rooms within our party. The VIP service consisted of lots of Towel Origami, but not a whole lot of cleaning. One day the maid knocked over a glass of milk on the nightstand in the kids room and left it there for us to clean up. Never once did they run the dishwasher. I spilled water on the floor and went to clean it up with a white towel that came back black! The room smelled like mildew the entire time as well. Disgusting and way overpriced for what we got. I paid around $1700 for this 3 bedroom condo because it was the roomiest, and it was a complete waste of money. We will not be going back....any of us.


• Pristine Resort, Exceptionally Clean & Comfortable!!!

Apr 29, 2011 - I can't say enough great things about this resort! It is clean, updated, pleasant inside and out, staffed with courteous and helpful people, and just an awesome vacation spot! I will most definitely stay here again & again when visiting Myrtle Beach!


• Awesome Staff and Amenities

Apr 27, 2011 - Long Bay is central located in Myrtle Beach, close to everything. With 12 men on a golf trip, they really made sure we had everything we needed, as well as making sure we played the right courses, suited for everyone's handicap. Barry helped every step of the way, making sure the reservations were correct, and set us up with coupons to use during our stay. Dining, Golf apparel, shopping anything coupons. The staff wants you to have fun and will do anything for you. I would highly recommend Long Bay to anyone!! Convenient to all the Restaurants of our choice and Martins Restaurant in Long Bay is top notch for Breakfast or Dinner!
