• Feels like Home

September 26, 2011 - We've stayed at OC every year for the past 15 years, and during those years we have been in 15 different condos. That has now changed. We stayed in unit PP6 in the South Tower and absolutely loved it. It has an expanded deck area that offers so much more outdoor room than a standard patio. As far as the resort goes, it's hard to beat OC with its great family pools, two big hot tubs, the inlet creek that fills up during high tide, and the overall friendliness of every staff member we encounter. It feels like home.


• Still Love It!

September 26, 2011 - This is the second time we have stayed at Ocean Creek. The first time we stayed in the South Tower, this time the North Tower. Even though the unit's decor may be dated, the unit was very clean and well maintained. Our unit had an ocean front balcony, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths (1 with tub/shower, the other with shower), full kitchen with all appliances (microwave, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, garbage disposal), full size washer and dryer, wet bar and living/dining area. Even though we went the third week of September, the pools and gym facility were open and the beach club was open Thursday-Saturday. Every day you could see the maintenance staff cleaning the grounds. It is a very short walk to the beach. The beach is very clean. Ocean Creek is literally across the street from Barefoot Landing. But because the towers and lodges are set way back from the highway, you don't hear any noise. At the towers, you just hear the sound of the waves! I love Ocean Creek and I think they do a great job keeping the place clean, protected and maintained.


• Great stay, great location, wonderful beach experience

September 12, 2011 - Ocean Creek offers a relaxing, stress free environment perfect for families, we took adult kids and grandchildren and had a wonderful time. All villas, lodges and towers have kitchens and balconies for your convience. There are 7 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool and of course the wonderful beach. Kids activities are daily and fun. Plenty of nighttime family fun with a large entertainment complex across the highway that is within walking distance even with the kids. great resort in a wonderful location in Myrtle Beach.


• Great place!

September 2, 2011 - I stayed at that resort last year on a golf trip and was amazed. Great location, really nice and comfortable condo. We had an ocean view and let me tell you, it was great. The beach was beautiful and the pools as well. Our stay included the breakfast and it was really good food and good variety and the staff really nice. I would definitely recommend this place. Great place, great location, very good prices.


• Ocean Creek was fantastic in every aspect!

July 19, 2011 - Our family reunion booked several condo at Ocean Creek for a four day stay! The resort was fantastic in every aspect. First of all, it is beautiful, private, and close to the beach. The condos were well appointed. We used the banquet facilities, the staff was kind and accommodating and the food was way over the top delicious! Everything we needed was at Ocean Creek. Most of all, the management (Karen Creighton) was instrumental in helping make our family reunion a memorable time! We will definitely return.

June 19, 2011 - We travel to Myrtle Beach about twice a year, and try to stay at Ocean Creek whenever we go. Staying at the oceanfront towers costs a little more, but the views are fantastic! If you want to save money, there are plenty of other accommodations to choose from there as well; we have done that, too. It is a large estate, with many pools. You can usually find specials on their website at any time of the year. Great staff, clean condos, and free parking (some condos charge for that in MB!). Ocean Creek is great!


• Awesome Beach Accommodations

May 2, 2011 - The location of this resort is great. Ocean Creek borders a private beach where there are no crowds for about 2 miles. The kids loved all of the swimming pools to choose from and the ocean was just outside our front door. We parked our car and only left to have dinner. This resort had plenty to keep us occupied. The only negative...it had to end!


• Great… Clean… & Fun

Apr 3, 2011 - Awesome... Location ..Right ..On the Beach and directly across from Barefoot Landing and right down the street from Tanger Outlets. Beach is stunning and quiet! Great Value for all of the amenities: pools indoor & outdoor, putting green, tennis, restaurant, game room and fitness center.

Mar 24, 2011 - My family and I had such a wonderful time at Ocean Creek. Being located in North Myrtle Beach, it made our stay feel like we were on a private island. We stayed in an 2 bedroom condo in Lodge 4 that felt like home on the beach; everything that you need is there: full appliances, dishes, towels, extra pillows were all in unit. This was my first time staying at this property. The staff was great and the condo was beautiful. The location is right across from Barefoot Landing. Really worth the visit. The prices were great! Will return soon!


• Great Location... Can Not Wait to Return Again This Summer! I Give it a 10!

Mar 21, 2011 - Ocean Creek Resort is the Best! What a Great location! Right across from Barefoot Landing and only 1 mile to Tanger outlets! My kids loved the game room as well as the complimentary High-speed wired and wireless Internet access . Because of the time of year we used the indoor pool and spa only. However, there were several outdoor pools right at the resort one can use during warmer weather as well as the pool right on the ocean. The condo was extremely clean and well maintained. We stayed in Lodge 4 which is very quiet and private. We would most definitely book this Resort again!!


• Lots of Updates!

Mar 6, 2011 - We try to visit Myrtle Beach a few times a year and find ourselves returning to Ocean Creek again and again. Like others have mentioned location is unbeatable. Yes, you need to ask for a renovated unit. These accommodations (whether you are in the Lodge, The Greens or Towers) were all built in the 80s. MANY updates and renovations are in place. Lots of the units original owners have passed or sold and the new owners are updating. Other updates we noticed included a new walkway to the beach (no more steps), new snack bar at the beach pool, new benches and stained wood work, gorgeous new gardens, North Tower pool resurfacing. Still hoping for a new fitness center, driving to the Y and paying a daily fee is getting old. Also would like to see the onsite restaurant do more, maybe a "Happy Hour" on Thursdays and Fridays, live music, anything to make it fun and inviting for folks who do not want to leave the property.


• The Resort is Very Misleading

Jan 5, 2011 - We had stayed at the resort for 10 days between Christmas and New Years. We have been coming to MB twice a yr for many yrs and decided to give Ocean Creek a try. We arrived very early in the am and were pleasantly surprised we could check in so early. We go into the room and discovered it was dirty and worn down. We found a filthy butterknife on 1 of the chairs and broken toothpicks embedded in the carpets. The wallpaper was filthy, the doors didnt close properly, there were only 2 tv's for a 3 br unit, the lighting was terrible in the bedrooms and the carpet was stained and needed replaced. It was supposed to be a non smoking unit, yet there were ashtrays under the sink and the balcony carpet had numerous cig. burns all over it. During the 10 days, we had only had maid service 2 times. We called numerous times and no one showed up. we had to wash the towels ourselves because the maid didnt bring any. the kitchen was supposed to be fully stocked but we had no pots to cook in. We had to go buy a can opener to open our cans. The barking dogs were the most annoying thing about the stay. Evidently some of the owners of some of the units live there yr round and they have pets and let them bark NON STOP! we had called to complain and nothing was done. There was dog feces ALL OVER THE PROPERTY! Disgusting! We couldnt walk down the sidewalk without having to sidestep around the poop! They had all these rules about not hanging towels out of the railing and not having a radio on the balcony and quiet time and on and on, yet the dogs could bark constantly? There was a lot of renovation going on and all we heard was hammering and sawing and pounding. The unit below us had so much going on and we called and complained and they said they didnt know what was going on. We stayed in tower north and didnt know we werent allowed to use the tower south pool and hot tub. When u make a reservation and check in, they dont tell you that upfront. A resident of the south tower told us about it. Evidently they mislead a lot of people about this. To use the north pool and hot tub, we had to drive over to the dark and dismal lodge area and find a place to park and use the indoor pool. When the weather got warmer, we wanted to lay out by the outside pool, but the gates were locked. We called about that and they did send someone to unlock it so we could lay out. The pools looked clean and well cared for but not much else did on this property. I WOULD not recommend this place to anyone.
