• Great deal!

October 11, 2011 - My mother was visiting from out of state so we had a mini vacation to the beach. It was early October so I got the best price for an oceanfront room. The room may be slightly outdated, but it was clean which is more than I can say for some newer hotels. The staff was very helpful and friendly. When entering our room, we found that we could not open the patio door. Within five minutes of entering, we placed a work order. We went for a walk around the hotel and on the beach and by the time we returned, the door was fixed and they called shortly after to make sure everything else was okay. I would say it isn't the prettiest room. However, they make up for it in the views, amenities, location and price. Worth it!


• Stayed 2 years in a row… looking forward to 3!

October 4, 2011 - My friend and I stayed in the Waves building 2 years in a row for 8 nights in mid to late Sept. and found it to be an overall wonderful experience. The room was spotless and our ocean view was amazing! We had fishing poles shipped down to us from home and I can't begin to tell you how helpful and pleasant the staff were in aiding us in the shipping aspect of the poles. Roxey was especially helpful and guaranteed she would personally see that the expensive poles were looked after until shipped home. Thank you Roxey for going above and beyond! We look forward to spending time there next year as well.


• Great Place to Stay

September 24, 2011 - My family and I checked in on Sunday and checked out on Thursday. Upon check in at the Palmetto Shores builiding, we met a very upbeat, wonderful clerk named Roxy. Forgive me if I have spelled her name wrong. She was very helpful and welcomed us with such enthusiasm, spreading her Southern charm. Our room was a 2 bedroom condo in the Atlantica tower next to Roxanne Towers. We absolutely loved our room. It was on the 9th floor with awesome views. The room was clean and well appointed with extras such as a washer and dryer. We were in walking distance of alot of activities, restaurants, and almost everything we wanted to do. I would recommend this place to anyone who is planning a visit to Myrtle Beach.


• We love this place!

September 6, 2011 - Stayed here with family for a few days. To begin with, the staff is fantastic. Everyone we encountered was super friendly and always helpful. The location of the resort is ideal and close to everything. Myrtle Beach is a perfect for families with so much to do. Our room was just right for the four of us. It was just what we expected with a great view and very clean and tidy. I was quite comfortable with my entire stay. There were a lot of people everywhere we went, but all the amenities catered to everyone very well. Breakfast was delicious and our favorite part was cocktails at the Patio! Can't wait for the family to return soon!!


• Absolutely no complaints. Would stay again!

August 21, 2011 - Our oceanfront efficiency was just perfect! The kitchenette was just what we needed. Four outdoor pools to choose from, plus an indoor pool and hot tub. Location near enough to the boardwalk that you can walk there. Some reviews mention unfriendly check in staff, and while they were not overly friendly, they were courteous and helpful and no complaints. Housekeeping and maintenance staff very friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick, and we arrived a little early and we were able to check in. IDK what some of these negative reviewers are looking for, but maybe they need to put out a little more cash ...for the price, this place is excellent!


• Good stay

July 23, 2011 - We stayed for the first week of July. We were checked in by Zack and Paige who both were super friendly and made sure we were very happy. When we found out we were on the first floor they were able to move us up higher at our request. The biggest negative was the wait to get in our room after 3 which is when they guarantee check in time is. They made up for it with an AWESOME BREAKFAST PACKAGE!!!! We were in an oceanfront room with a kitchenette and two queen beds. It was exactly what we thought we were getting and it was nice and clean. We would definitely stay at Palmetto Shores again for sure.


• Great Place and Great Price

July 9, 2011 - We had a great stay for an excellent price, of course it was early March. We had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen, living area, and a balcony that overlooked the pool and beach! Also each room has a large flat screen TV. We were traveling with young teenagers and they absolutely loved it. Very great location the mall, Broadway at the Beach, boardwalk, and other shopping is just a short drive or walk, and it's right on the beach! They have charcoal grills in the back you can also use. It is very family friendly. Indoor and outdoor pools we clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay there again!

June 12, 2011 - My stay at the palmetto shores was worth my time. They have the most friendliest staff I have ever met. I travel a lot with my family and I will definitely be back. The housekeeping director name Cat was so amazing. She has very clean rooms and a GREAT STAFF the service was great, and they made sure we had everything that we need. The front desk Manager Ricky was very helpful and polite. There was another manager in the lobby greeting people. What a nice way to start off our vacation. There was a guy name Jim that checked us in that told us about all the amenities that they have. Our room was on the oceanfront. It had a dvd player in it and you can get movies at the front desk what a way to keep the kids entertained. I highly suggest that you come here to stay. You won't regret it.


• Loved it!

May 10, 2011 - We had an amazing time! Aaron checked us in and assisted us with out departure, he was unbelievably charming and helpful! The entire hotel staff was great! Our room was tidy and clean, absolutely no complaints! We had to rather large queen beds, our own kitchen, and even a dining room. I must say that the flat screen tv was also a bonus. The view was incredible and we loved the area the hotel was located in! We will definitely return! Thank you!


• Would Stay Again

Apr 18, 2011 - Me and my boyfriend just checkout today we had stayed for eleven days. This hotel meets the basic needs. The room was clean upon check in we had an ocean front 2 queen efficiancy. It had everything we needed inside including a full size fridge, stove, microwave and coffee maker. The only problem I have with this hotel is the housekeeping. They don't make your bed or change it every 3 days of your stay as they are required to do. I had to call the front desk for them to send housekeeping up to change the garbage and bring us fresh towels which they say are in the dryer. No one ever came up to change the garbage or bring me fresh towels. I even placed one on the rack and they took it and didnt replace. The front desk staff were all really nice. This location is great because it is right on ocean blvd and has everything you need around it. There is a piggly wiggly grocery store you can walk to just up the street from the parking lot and people who complain about parking its like a minute walk to the other side of the street or if its full there is over flow parking right behind that which is a 2 minute walk. p.s check out lil tokyo restaurant its an awesome experience its at the grande coastal mall its a sushi bar and steakhouse and they also have hibachi this is where they cook right in front of you. We went there 4 times out of are 11 days it was amazing. They give you great portions for 8.95 (lunch special).


• Great Service and Spectacular Views!

Apr 13, 2011 - The hotel was beautiful... oceanfront views, enjoyable pools and activities, and delicious food. We spent all of the free time we had on this trip at the hotel because it was so nice and accommodating. The service was outstanding. The people were so friendly and very helpful, as we had never been to Myrtle Beach before. I'd like to thank the staff for making our stay a remarkable one! We will definitely be back.


• What a Great Hotel

Apr 13, 2011 - My family and I checked this place out in March and we had such a great time. Rooms where very clean and housekeeping staff does a wonderful job. The rest of the staff were very friendly and mad us feel welcome. The view was great and will stay again this summer.


• Not at All What They Lead You to Believe Even After Looking at a Room You Are Told They All Look Like That

Apr 8, 2011 - We came @ xmas to look for an oceanfront room. We requested a certain room with no guarantee. Arrived expecting to receive either the room we wanted in 1st place but were told it was given to a local. We were given another room that they said was exactly the same. We waited 4.5 hrs for our room to be cleaned & when we got to it. It was not even close to what we wanted. No double balcony & smaller condo. No wi fi in room even though they tell you there is. It is only in the lounge lobby! Wth is that all about? Stay away from palmetto shores/atlantica very disappointing & certainly not worth the 15 hrs drive time. Will never stay again. Every person that was waiting next in line had the same issue, lied too everyone!


• Good Times, Great Value and All Around Everything You Need!!

Mar 31, 2011 - I was overall very pleased with my stay. To start the front desk service couldnt have greeted me better, with prompt service we were settling into our oceanfront room in no time. There was plenty of things to do around the property too.....one nice thing that stuck out to me was that we had full access to any of the pools down there. I enjoyed cooking out beachside on the grills that were set up outback of the place we staying. Its very nice too see the effort taken on just the overall cleanliness of the place, inside and out. Cant think of much bad to say.....except i did eventually have to leave!! I have to say overall with the good rates and location, Palmetto Shores should be a checklist on your vacation list.
