Prince Resort of North Myrtle BeachCourtesy of TripAdvisor Reviews for Prince Resort Condos of North Myrtle Beach
October 11, 2011 - All I can say is Wow! We had to go to Myrtle Beach for my husband's high school reunion this month (October) and needed a place to stay that was close to the reunion. I picked the Prince Resort Condos because of its proximity to the reunion. It was wonderful and we are definitely going back next October for a family vacation. We stayed in a two bedroom condo and it was beautiful! It had a fully stocked kitchen, a living and dining area, two wonderful bedrooms (with clean linens and comfortable beds) and a great balcony overlooking the ocean. We stayed in Tower 2 which was across the street from the main building. This is where the parking garage is located for both towers. So, you parked, got in the elevator and then up to your room. Free parking, a great view, several pools - including a lazy river pool (!) - and a great condo. You can even go fishing on the Cherry Grove Fishing Pier that is located at the back of Tower 1, so bring your fishing poles. Definitely worth the money and a great weekend. Helpful staff and folks who went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable, this includes a very nice lady who delivered our room service dinner on the first night. As you can tell, we love the Prince Resort Condos and will be booking a condo for next October! Give it a try, you will not be disappointed! September 23, 2011 - My husband and I went here for our honeymoon. We got an amazing rate on our condo, and it was above and beyond what we expected. It has all the amenities that you could need, even a washer and dryer, dishwasher, wine chiller, beautiful balcony views and everything in between. I can't wait to go back. The staff was a little scarce, but it was also during the off season. September 12, 2011 - Trying to find a great resort with amenities for every family member is not easy but we have found one at the Prince Resort. All week long we utilized the weight room, clean pools/hot tubs and lazy river, lounged on the beach and fished on the Cherry Grove Pier which connects to the resort. The restaurant was perfect for an early breakfast before fishing and the beach grill was convenient and had a generous happy hour. The pleasant resort staff provided us with great tips and the housekeeping staff was prompt and courteous. Our condo end unit was lovely and well appointed and the view was magnificent! We have vacationed in both north and south Myrtle Beach over the past 25 years and we will definitely be returning to the Prince Resort! August 19, 2011 - Stayed here on a whim after attempting to stay in Myrtle Beach and finding very poor hotels. Drove up north, phoned the number on the outside, was greeted warmly by a HUMAN who gave me a couple options and at a reasonable price. Right from the start was treated very well. Did not feel like a walk in at any time during my stay. Ended up staying an extra day. They are located right near the Cherry Grove pier - perfectly located. If you did not want to use your car again until you left you would not have to do so. Restaurant on site - little bar and grill at the pier. The room was huge - washer and dryer in suite. Clean - I am a clean nut and room was clean throughout. One little hiccup - I took a walk on the beach and when I returned the room door was propped open with the door latch. Most likely the maid left it open and forgot - but it was a little unsettling - nothing was taken so "no harm, no foul". I will certainly stay there again. July 25, 2011 - We cannot say enough awesome things about this resort, and in particular Tower 2. By far the cleanest, updated condo we have ever had the privilege to reserve. The oceanfront view took our breath away as we entered the condo's foyer; what a fantastic panoramic view!! All furnishing were welcoming and well kept and all the dark furniture shined. Check-in was a breeze ... only waited about 10 minutes right at 4:00 check-in time. Check-out was even faster, no wait at all about 30 minutes before scheduled 11:00 check-out. All the staff no matter where we were in the towers, or on the grounds, were exceptionally friendly and quick to speak. Towels were quickly exchanged with courteous cleaning staff and trash bins were available for disposing of your own trash or leaving outside doors for prompt pick-up if you chose. No problems with AC or hot water here and even the elevators were freshly scented - no stinky, wet and humid rides ever! Plus, all three elevators in Tower 2 worked ... no waiting ... a minute to 2 at the most!! Parking was plentiful on the higher floors so no need to squeeze into lower floors. Crossing the 2-lane street to the beach was no trouble whatsoever. What little traffic there was at most times of the day were very courteous to stop and let walkers cross. We used the kitchen often and loved every minute of it. Everything was right at our hand when needed; even a countertop wine chiller. The only thing we found missing was a spatula but a quick trip to Walmart and we purchased one to use and leave for the next guests. The lazy river and pool areas were always clean and I often watched the personnel each morning open the areas and make sure all chairs and such were in position to start each day. Having the pier available for walking and fishing was wonderful and with two restaurants on site and additional ones within walking distance, you virtually could park your car and never move it all week. We loved Basil's for pizza and the Dairy Hut for late night ice cream. Courtney at reservations was beyond friendly and courteous; she made a very last minute reservation for us and promised the best resort on the strip; we totally agree!! We cannot give enough praise to all the staff at the Prince for making it the wonderful stay it is ... the hard work, and high level of excellence is very much appreciated. We'll be back ... 11th floor corner condo!! We would also recommend the nearby Dolphin Sunset Cruise on the Sea Thunder ... a beautiful, relaxing ride ... and we must have seen 40 or 50 dolphin playing in the ocean waves ... some, not 10 feet from the ship. The Prince Resort is close to many fun things and makes Cherry Grove vacationing pure pleasure!! Thanks!! June 22, 2011 - We stayed from 06-10 to 06-15 2011.The 2 bedroom 2 bath Condo was excellent. The rooms were clean and neat. The kitchen was stocked with cooking and eating items. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Will definitely stay here again. May 31, 2011 - It would be a gross understatement to say that I am a bit germaphobic, and am wary of staying at hotels at all…So, with that said…I must say The Prince Resort Condos at Cherry Grove Pier are Fabulous! We stayed in a 2bedroom oceanfront Condo…and It was Immaculate. The pools and all public areas were very well kept and clean. Even the public Bathrooms were "SAFE", and that's never the case! All of the staff we encountered were Super Friendly, going out of their way to greet people, hold doors, and offer assistance. The ones I encountered seem genuinely happy to be there, which was a bit of a shock . I can't say how many times at other resorts I have seen an employee simply walk by and ignore "trash" at the pool or in hallway, I can honestly say that the staff I encountered at Prince were diligent to keep up the grounds and keep guests happy… I even commented to my mother in law (who traveled with us) that I was amazed at how friendly and attentive everyone had been. I will definitely be a repeat guest, as my experience at Prince resort was OUTSTANDING! May 26, 2011 - First time visitor to Myrtle Beach last weekend for a wedding at the Prince Resort. Since I traveled with grandchildren, it was extremely helpful to have great kitchen and laundry facilities right in our room. Wonderful beach location! Attended a wedding at the resort, and it was so well-done and fun. Food was delicious! The staff couldn't be more customer service oriented!! The room was immaculate, and stocked with everything we could possibly need. I have recommended the resort to friends and coworkers already, and hope to be able to visit again soon. I can't imagine staying anywhere else! May 16, 2011 - My family and I have stayed at the Prince Resort since it opened. It is a super nice and very clean resort. It also has a great location along the North Myrtle Beach corridor with a spectacular view of the Cherry Grove Pier. We stay in the 3-bedroom condo with another family that goes with us every year. All of us enjoy the condo because it is very roomy, spacious, and comfortable-just like home! During our stay at the Prince Resort this year, we had a very nice and friendly house-keeping lady that made us feel so comfortable and right at home with providing us with all that we needed and then some-she went over and above to provide for our 2 families---Thank you Veronica!!! Try the Prince Resort-it's a great place to stay! Apr 29, 2011 - This is the third time we've stayed at the Prince Resort. We stayed twice in the Inlet View one bedroom unit, which is plenty large for my husband and I and our two young children. This time, we received an email with an incredible rate for an ocean view one bedroom unit during spring break. We expected the same type of room as the inlet view, only with an ocean view, but were very pleasantly surprised by the size of our room! It was almost twice as large as the inlet view one bedroom. Both room types have a king bed in the bedroom, a sleeper sofa in the living room, a full kitchen with a stacked washer and dryer in a closet (very very handy). The ocean view room was located in tower 2, across the street from the beach, but there is nothing obstructing the view. The only thing currently across street is the parking lot for the Cherry Grove Pier. I think the view was better than ocean front, b/c the entire beach was easily visible from our balcony. We were on the 10th floor, which was one floor above the lazy river and roof-top pools. There was some noise during the day, but we have young children and the noise is understandable. I would not want to stay in an ocean view room on the 9th floor in Tower 2, which would place your room and balcony level with the pool area... this would definitely decrease the privacy of your stay. The Prince Resort offers everything you could want for a family vacation: kiddie pools, larger pools, lazy river and several hot tubs, easy beach access, plenty of parking and easy accessibility. There is no indoor pool, though. The staff is friendly and will explain all policies at check-in. It is a very kid-friendly resort. The rooms are immaculate and well-appointed. TIP: when making reservations, be certain to confirm everything, especially if you call about a special rate offered via email. The reservations crew handles bookings for several area resorts/hotels and the person I spoke with initially when booking this reservation did not know about the special rate I received via email. Another agent was able to fix the reservation without problem, but it would be better if they were more informed... so be sure to check and double-check all the details of your reservation. Apr 25, 2011 - Just got home from a 4 night stay at the Prince. This was our first time staying in North Myrtle, we normally stay on the north end of Myrtle Beach- not at all impressed with the Prince or the area. I booked the Prince because it seemed to have great reviews and we wanted to try out this area of the beach. We stayed in a 2 bedroom in tower 2. The view was great, however since you are on the other side of the street you hear a lot of street noise while on the balcony. The area surrounding the Prince also seemed very run down. The room had a nice layout but I have to say it could have been cleaner- especially the carpet, super dirty. We checked in on a Tuesday night and on Wednesday put the do not disturb sign up since we didn’t need anything that day. On Thursday we left early and put the please service sign out- did not get back to the room until about 10pm- we arrived to find that no one had cleaned the room. I called the front desk and they did send someone with towels and garbage bags. They did not take our garbage out so we ended up having to throw it away in a can near the elevator. Before we left to go out on Friday I called housekeeping to make sure they would come up to our room. They had the audacity to put me on hold so long that I ended up hanging up. They called back to let me know that they had not been up to our room because we left the do not disturb sign up on all of the days- which was not the case. They were very rude as well. All we really needed was fresh towels and the garbage taken out. I’m not sure how well they do service the rooms because all we saw were piles of towels and bags of garbage outside of many rooms. The only time we saw people working there they were in the garage smoking. It almost seems like tower 2 is ignored. The pool area was pretty dirty as well. There were tons of empty beer cans floating in the lazy river and cigarette butts all over. I expected more for what we paid and felt disappointed in our stay. I also had no idea how far the Prince is from everything. If you plan to go out to eat and see the local attractions this may not be the best place. We will definitely not be back to the Prince. Apr 11, 2011 - My husband and I, along with our 15 year old daughter and her 15 year old friend stayed for 4 nights in a two bedroom condo. The ocean-front condo was magnificent. Upon arrival I was very pleased with the spaciousness of the condo and how clean it was. We stayed on the 8th floor in a corner unit. The kitchen was a great size, with all of the appliances, dishes, utensils, etc. that anyone would need. Full-size refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, full size stove with microwave and it even had a wine chiller. The condo also came with a washer and a dryer. The bedroom that the kids stayed in had 2 double beds, with a dresser, nightstand and a television as well as a closet. They had their own bathroom, which was great. Nice and spacious. The eating area accomodated 6 people at the table and also had barstools for those who wanted to sit at the bar. The living area had a sleeper sofa and 2 chairs along with a 42" flat screen television. The windows were from floor to ceiling which faced the ocean. There was also access to the balcony from the living room. The master bedroom had a King size bed with another flat screen television as well as 2 night stands, a dresser and an in room safe. The master bedroom also had access to the balcony. The master bathroom was gigantic. Plenty of room and bright and clean. I am a clean freak so this passed inspection!! The entire place did! The elevators were very fast and there is ample parking. Pools and jacuzzi's onsite made it great and the fact that we were right near the pier was great!! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rate this place a 10 out of 10!! We will definitely be going back!! Apr 9, 2011 - We went at the end of Feb 2011 and I enjoyed it so much. I loved my room it was 1bdrm but it looks like a small apartment. It was like a home away from home. The front desk was very helpful with helping me find my way to different locations of interest in Myrtle Beach. I enjoyed being able to walk out on the pier, its right there at the hotel, my stay was very relaxed. Housekeeping was very nice, washing our dishes, changing everything, vacuum, I felt I was in a trusted hotel. I will go back. Mar 29, 2011 - Prince Resort was amazing. The room was perfect with an amazing view. The location was very nice and not crowded at all. The staff was great and the food wasn’t bad either. This resort is by far the one of the best and I can't wait to come back. I will never stay anywhere else. Send us your review of Prince Resort today.
