Sandy Beach ResortCourtesy of TripAdvisor Reviews for Sandy Beach Resort of Myrtle Beach
October 8, 2011 - We stayed at Sandy Beach Resort the last week of August. We were on the 6th floor in the Palmetto Tower, a one bedroom suite. Hotel was clean, easy check in, rooms were great. Very kid friendly. Kiddie pool was awesome. Parking is across the street, but was never a problem. September 22, 2011 - We spent 10 absolutely amazing days here from Sept.1 - Sept. 11. This was our third time here and first time in the Palmetto Towers. There is not one negative thing I could say about this resort. The room was so clean every day. The entire resort is clean and smells so fresh. The pool area is gorgeous. The room was stocked with everything we could have ever needed. We requested highest floor possible when booking and were given the 19th floor. OMG!!! The views from this floor are breathtaking. If I could change one thing about this resort, they need a restaurant. But since they don’t have one the restaurant at the 2nd Ave Pier is wonderful and such a short walk away. We would never even think of staying anywhere else at MB. Looking forward to vacation 2012, Sandy Beach , see you then!!! September 9, 2011 - We arrived around noon; our room was ready which was great after a 12 hour drive. The check in process was quick the bill was exactly the same as told and emailed. The room was clean and furnished with all the items one would expect in a condo (including a few extras, dish soap, bath soap, shampoo..). The room was cleaned daily, new towels, soaps and trash removed. At least twice during the week the bedding was changed and entire room vacuumed. The pools were great, clean and fun for entire family, our toddler loved the kiddie pool. The location was perfect right at the south end of the new boardwalk; the walk up the boardwalk almost every night was great. Parking was not an issue at all, MB over the offseason added convent crosswalks on the south end of downtown. We have no complaints at all. We would stay at Sandy Beach again when in MB. August 8, 2011 - We just completed a week long trip to Myrtle Beach, and stay at the Sandy Beach Resort. We had a King Suite in the Palmetto building. Our room was outstanding. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about it. The room came with marble counter tops, tile floors in the kitchen / bath, tiled tub surround, stainless (quality) appliances and a washer / dryer. We were on the 15th floor, and the view of the beach / ocean was breathtaking. The pools were very nice and clean. My only minor grumble is that the facility could use a 4th elevator during peak hours. But otherwise, absolutely great! July 21, 2011 - My family stayed at the Sandy Beach the week of July 11th in a single bedroom suite (two queens) in the Palmetto Tower. We were graciously greated by the security guard, who assisted with check-in parking and check-in was fast, friendly, and efficient. Our room was cool, clean, and well stocked with supplies. Rooms have everything you need to fix and eat meals. Pools were clean and the property was well groomed. The Sandy Beach is in a great location for familys (across the road from Family Kingdom, near Family Kingdom Water Park, a souviner shop, small grocery story, ice cream shop, and within walking distance to the new boardwalk.) The 2nd Ave. Pier is very close and puts off fireworks on Wednesdays, which we always enjoy. The best part, is the BEACH, which is only steps from the resort. The resort has ample across the street parking, sufficent elevators, and the housekeeping staff are quick, trustworthy, and efficent. The Sandy Beach experience allows us a carefree vacation and we would highly recommend it. We started planning next year's Sandy Beach vacation on the drive home! July 10, 2011 - A great hotel/resort on the ocean with beautiful views. On the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. Room units are well maintained (we stayed in the newer Palmetto building). Only downside was staying on the 16th floor, difficult making a call from your cell phone as there was no line. We have stayed at other hotels in the area but would recommend Sandy Beach over the rest! June 15, 2011 - My husband and I stayed at this hotel. We were very pleased with the room. We stayed in a 1br deluxe suite (palmetto). Usually, hotel carpet at the beach feels wet and dirty. The floors felt great. The bed was nice and comfortable. The furniture in the room was the same exact furniture I saw on the internet. The pictures online were how the room actually looked. Flat screen TVs in the living room and bedroom. Most hotels have not caught up with the modern times of flat screen tvs. The only down side, which was tolerable, was the hallway noises can be heard while inside the bedroom. We will be back again soon. May 26, 2011 - Tremendously impressed with the rooms, the service, the facilities, the beach, the location, and just about everything at a price close to what you would pay for lesser accommodations at one of the economy chains in the middle of nowhere. Mind you, it was out of season, but just out of season. We got all the sun we could take and the water was warm enough. One of the best vacations I ever had. May 12, 2011 - Sandy Beach Resort is a wonderful place. Never seen one dirty thing about the place. Beautiful bathrooms, stainless steel appliances, flat screens, nice non beach looking comforters. The prices were amazing as well. There are two diff parts to the hotel and the older rooms are on the very right end of the hallways. I will be staying here every trip I make. Apr 20, 2011 - We took our 3 teenage boys to Myrtle Beach for spring break and had originally booked a unit at Hotel Blue...after reading the reviews we canceled and booked Sandy Beach. We are glad we did..we checked out Hotel Blue while in MB and is was dumpy... Sandy Beach was perfect. We rented a 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath w/full kitchen, w/d on the 19th floor for a very reasonable rate. The place was very clean and updated, the view was awesome and so were the staff. Nice touch with daily maid service included. The weather was cold & rainy, but with all the pools, lazy river and hot tubs at SB the boys never were bored, we stayed 5 nights. Plus with the pier and boardwalk so close we did a lot of walking. Definitely will stay there again. Apr 13, 2011 - This was my 3rd stay at Sandy Beach Resort . And again was a good stay. The first two times , I stayed in a one bedroom suite. This last time I stayed in a 3 bedroom , 2 bath, suite. With my 3 grandkids , wife, and daughter & son-in-law. I did have to go get a light bulb (that was burned out), and sheets for the hide a bed couch. I did notice that the rugs and furniture where the same type and design in both rooms. Starting to get a little old, and the rod on the hide a bed was broken. But everything else was fine. Would stay again. Apr 1, 2011 - We stayed at The Sandy Beach Resort March 26- March 30 and had a fantastic experience. We came to Myrtle Beach because our son was coming with his High School baseball team for spring training and playing at the Cal Ripken Experience fields. The location was perfect in so many ways- easy access to the fields, stores, restaurants, shopping, etc. The view of the beach from our room was incredible. Our 1 bedroom was clean and spacious. I was really impressed and happy with how nice the hotel and accommodations were. Having a full kitchen was a bonus. Friendly and informative help was always available at the front desk and the service was top notch. The hotel was extremely flexible. I originally booked a 2 bedroom and then before travel time realized we only needed a 1 bedroom. Changing the reservation was hassle free and easy as was check in and check out. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Myrtle Beach as it would appeal to all ages. Our rate was a great value. Our next visit we will definitely stay at Sandy Beach. Mar 27, 2011 - My husband and I went here for our 15th wedding anniversary, we had a great time the room was so nice and clean, when walking into the room first thing the bedroom, bed was white and fluffy pretty, I knew then we made a good choice to spend our week here, I would recommend this resort A+, wanted to have our family reunion here but they don't have 4 bedrooms only 3 our loose, the housekeeping and front desk folks was really nice and polite. This is a must visit. Mar 15, 2011 - We just returned from a 5 night stay at this resort. We stayed in a Deluxe King suite in the Palmetto building and it was awesome. We had an excellent view of the water and the suite was just the right size for our family of 3. The bed was a little more firm than we like but it wasn't anything we couldn't handly. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes/pots & pans/utensils if you plan on cooking. The living room also had a murphy bed that would pull down which my daughter loved. The washer and dryer completed the unit. The front desk guys were really nice and the cleaning crew did an excellent job. The indoor pool was heated and felt more like a hot tub and you were only steps away from the ocean. We hated the parking being across the street because if it was raining you would get wet tyring to get to the vehicle and I could see it being a problem if you were there during the summer. Our main complaint was the wifi - it didn't work half the time, we finally used an ethernet cable and didn't have any more problems after that. Overall, I think we received an excellent room for the price we paid and we would return if back in the area. Send us your review of Sandy Beach Resort today.
