Sea Watch ResortCourtesy of TripAdvisor Reviews for Sea Watch Resort of Myrtle Beach
October 9, 2011 - Sea Watch is gorgeous!!! I loved the view from our balcony looking down on all the beautiful pools and the view of the beach and Apache Pier! Our room was spotless and met our every need. The front desk staff (Gabby) was very helpful and made us feel special! Sea Watch is conveniently located to Barefoot Landing and all the great seafood restaurants. We are definitely planning our vacation to go back next year to Sea Watch! We have found our home away from home. Stayed at the Sea watch, booked at their website, for a weekend, Unfortunately, the weather was bad, cloudy and cool, but not much could be done about that! As a result, we did not use the pools, but they looked well maintained. The room was oceanfront and great views. ours was a one bedroom condo, which included 2 double beds (not queen), bathroom, full kitchen (we did not use except for refrigerator) and living room area (double sofa bed) with balcony (2 chairs, small table). There is a TV in the bedroom and one in the living area. There is a bedroom door to close it off from the kitchen/living area. The bedroom was small, not much extra room in there, but we weren't there much. We did not use the restaurant. We actually only used the condo as a "home base" while we visited with some family. There was a resort fee charged to the room, in addition to the rate, so be aware of that. I think there was free internet, but I did not take my computer for the weekend. The Seawatch is very close to Walmart, Tanger Outlets and many restaurants, etc. It is not too far from Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing and numerous other venues. Overall a nice place to stay, not luxurious but clean and well maintained. September 5, 2011 - My Family and I had the best time at Sea Watch Resort this past august, we arrived on a Sunday around 1 o'clock and even though our checking in time was at 3 o'clock the friendly staff was able to let us check in at time of arrival, good start, We stayed in the south tower beach front two bedroom, which had everything washer and dryer and a big balcony, South Tower a bit less crowed than North tower which was great for my two kids and toddler, lazy river and pools were awesome. The walking distance to the beach, and water temperature a big plus, The beach was not crowded at all, the hotel is just around the corner from wal mart, tanger oulets, a buffet we couldn't have asked for a better location. God willing will be back next summer, and Thanks to all the friendly staff we had a great time. August 8, 2011 - Our family highly recommends this hotel/resort. We stayed in the North tower and were extremely pleased with our room. The beach was beautiful and we had a blast listening to the karaoke at the tiki bar area from our balcony. I would get up early to watch the staff clean the pool area...so much attention to detail. I wished we had eaten at their Captain's Cove b/c the menu looked good w/ reasonable prices....we spent quite a bit eating outside the resort. We are looking forward to a return visit next year, and hope to bring along some friends! July 22, 2011 - The pools and hot tubs were great! Even though the resort is large there were enough pools and spas that it did not feel overly crowded. Breakfast at the resort was AMAZING!!!!!!! We went for our anniversary and were very happy with our stay. The balcony facing the ocean was great, we sat out there at night listening to the ocean! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! July 8, 2011 - The hotel itself is located on a wide, uncrowded (at least while we were there), oceanfront section of the beach. On one side is a campground followed by a residential section and on the other are condos with some hotels further down. There is a golf course nearby as well. This area is between Myrtle Beach and Windy Hill Beach (North Myrtle Beach area). There is an outlet mall and a wal-mart nearby(1 mile) and it is close to many restaurants and attractions. The hotel has two towers, north and south, as well as some villas in between. The resort has several large pools, 2 lazy rivers, and about 10 hot tubs, on-site restaurant and tiki bar. There is ample parking as each tower has it's own parking deck. We stayed in the south tower which in the summer has the shaded balconies in the afternoon, great for sitting on your balcony. The room was clean, spacious and well appointed with what we needed for preparing meals etc.. Our room featured 2brs, one with a king and the other 2 full size beds. There was a master bath and another full bath. The large balcony had access from the living area as well as the master br. and had chairs for relaxing. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it. June 13, 2011 - Sea Watch Resort is such a fabulous place to stay! Just spent several days there with family and we all had such a good time....This resort is right on the beach, and has several water amenities with a Tiki Bar-the pool parties are so much fun! The hotel staff was extremely friendly and courteous. I cannot wait to go back here! Would definitely recommend! May 30, 2011 - It was so great to be back at Sea Watch Resort again! Something about being that close to the Atlantic Ocean that relaxes both my husband and me...We were there four nights, ate breakfast at their buffet every morning and ate two of the four nights at the Sea Captain's House! Both of us managed to nap some during the day and still sleep more soundly than we ever do at home! My only complaint was the weather was a little chilly at times...hasn't happened on any of our previous May trips, so, of course, it wasn't Sea Watch's fault! In addition to walking on the beach twice, I walked on a treadmill in the fitness center...a good experience! And I sat on the balcony in spite of the chilliness, even when I had to wrap up in a blanket. Just love the sound of the surf! Thank you Sea Watch people for being consistently gracious for all the times we stayed with you! We'll see you Thanksgiving weekend, if not before! God bless! May 22, 2011 - I have stayed at this hotel several times and must say that it is one of the best hotels in Myrtle Beach that I have ever stayed. It is amazing how much the staff work to keep the hotel, pool and grounds in excellent shape. The hotel is very clean and the pool area is always very clean. The pool staff cleans constantly keeping in good shape. Also, they have an awesome restaurant. The food is excellent and the wait staff are always checking to see if you need anything. They also always accomodate my room preferences. It is also in a great location. Close to golf courses, restaurants and shopping centers. The rooms could be a little more updated but they are always clean. The housekeeping staff do an excellent job cleaning the rooms. I have never been disappointed with this hotel. I would recommend to anyone to stay at this hotel. Apr 27, 2011 - The hotel staff get their work done quietly and discreetly, so you feel that the "system" is on autopilot. Everything is done when it should be done. This frees you to just think about what you are going to do this day, what SPF to put on (30 or 50), and what fabulous food you are going to eat today! Great ocean views. Apr 17, 2011 - We visited during spring break the first week of April. The weather was a bit cool, but we had a great stay. The beach was gorgeous, lots of shell hunting for the kids. Unfortunately, the "heated" pool was freezing and so was the lazy river, so our kids (7 and 11) did very little swimming. The ice cream shop was closed and the restaurant was only open for breakfast at that time of year, also. The bartender at the tiki bar didn't seem to want to be there at all, and the margarita was a bit watered down. But all the other staff was really nice and friendly. But other than that, we loved the pool area and would like to come back when it's warmer. The indoor pools was a wonderful option to have and the kids loved it. They really loved the turtle races at noon...lot's of fun! Our room was very nice, beds comfy, shower hot, kitchen was great. Everything was in great working order. Overall, it was a wonderful stay! I would definitely recommend it for a casual family getaway for the summer. Apr 11, 2011 - Sea watch will be our spring break destination from now on. The one bedroom with murphy bed was perfect for our family of four. We had an awesome view of the ocean and pools. Tropical drinks and smoothies from the tiki bar were so good and added that resort feel. Our room was spotless and the resort is very well maintained. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We loved everything about Sea Watch. Apr 4, 2011 - Our family has been coming to Sea Watch for over 8 years, and we love it more and more each year. We have rented directly from owners on several occasions, and have also rented onsite as well We rented a two bedroom condo in the South Tower this time, and we loved it. Try to get a corner unit looking over the pools and lagoon if possible. Both towers are great, but we prefer the South because it's quieter, and is more like renting a condo instead of staying in a hotel. We have many friends who vacation here, so it's a home away from home. The resort is kept in immaculate condition. During the winter and spring, there will always be some work going on, as there will be in any resort in Myrtle Beach, but it's not a problem since there are not as many people there. Plenty of room in the many pools for everyone. We plan to return in early June, which is also a great time to be at Sea Watch. Mar 26, 2011 - After spending several March Breaks in Florida, we didn't want to make the loooooong drive down anymore. Just not worth it for 1 week. So we decided on Myrtle Beach, and Sea Watch Resort. What a great choice we made!! We stayed in a two bedroom condo, as we have two teenagers. The kitchen and laundry room were a welcome convenience, not to mention the daily housekeeping. Our housekeeper, Joy, was a super lady always willing to chat with us and provide us with anything we needed. I only wish that more of the pools at the South Tower were heated, as the North Tower pool was getting congested by midweek, and for beach chairs and umbrellas. All in all, it was a GREAT holiday and we will be returning next year for sure!! My highlight was when i was having coffee on my oceanfront balcony, watching the incredible sunrise and seeing 4 dolphins jumping out of the surf!! WOW!!!
