• Wedding 9-10-11

November 3, 2011 - I had my wedding on the beach in front of Waters Edge Resort!! It was the wedding of a life time!! My husband and I stayed at the resort for a week following our wedding and have nothing to complain about. All of our family and friends loved the place as well. We plan on taking a family vacation every year and staying at Waters Edge. I loved the room...we were in 1206! We had a great view, loved the beach and especially the hot tub. The bar was great and the Beach Bum Cafe!! Can't wait til next year when we get to visit again. Everyone who works there and everyone we meet were extremely nice. The day of our wedding everyone was watching us from their balconies and walked down just to tell us how great we looked and congrats! The staff was very prepared for our wedding party and guest and done whatever we needed them to, to help with the wedding!!


• Worth the money

October 20, 2011 - We stayed at this Resort in early June. We had a 2-bedroom unit. As we were there with another large group renting a house, we basically only slept in the condo the entire time we were here. The amenities are all very good. We did Karokee at the bar on site one night - the bar is TINY. Our group took up the entire place. The location was perfect for us, as the house our family was renting was basically "just down the road".

It was great having laundry in our unit to do our bathing suits and beach towels while we were there, I loved not having a suitcase full of dirty laundry to do when we got home.

The only thing that I would say is a negative is that the bedding was very worn, I notice this mostly because, like I said, all we really did was sleep here so most of the time we spent in the condo was in bed. I think that the overall appearance of the unit could be better if they invested some money in new bedding...Pillows, sheets and blankets.


• Multiple Stays at Water’s Edge

October 7, 2011 - I have been staying at Water's Edge for the past 4 years. My first trip I stayed in Unit 102 (2-bedroom unit). After our first stay, I just kept requesting/reserving the same unit. The unit is clean, updated and in very nice shape - you can tell the owners take pride in keeping their condo nice. Meeting and talking with others who were staying there I found out we were definitely in one of the nicest condos. So, if you're looking for a nice, clean comfortable unit, request Unit 102 if it is available - you will not be disappointed!


• Great week at Water’s Edge!

September 19, 2011 - I rented our unit from VRBO and was really pleased. The condo was very clean and updated with all the touches of home. There was a new pillow top mattress and 2 flat screen TV's. The view from the balcony was amazing. The resort itself was well kept and very clean. We stayed on the 9th floor and the view was amazing! I read some negative reviews but we found the experience to be a great one. I'm sure it depends on the individual owner, but we were very happy.


• Have visited every Spring for 20 years

July 28, 2011 - Water's edge is our "Easter Home' every year. It's a nice comfortable with all ocean front condos. Indoor & outdoor pools & hot tubs make it great in all kinds of weather. It's a nice calm family beach.


• Just got home and looking to make reservations again within the next 2 weeks

June 19, 2011 - We usually do a lot of "beach hopping" which means we also take a chance each time we book on line. Waters Edge was very impressive considering. We stayed June 15-18 2011. The living room was very spacious, and the beds were exactly what we were looking for in comfort. We had 2 full baths and the kitchen for the first time ever had everything we needed. We even came prepared this time since all the other places never have what we need. The location was perfect and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved the parking deck and everything that this place offered. Of course some things weren't modernized but we absolutely loved it and will always rent from there from here on out. Our beach/rental hopping days are finally over after all these years. Highly satisfied!


• The best place to stay for a low key vacation away from the crowds!!

June 13, 2011 - We began staying at Water's Edge when I was 2 and have stayed there for the last 25 years. It is my favorite place on earth. No, it is not new. Yes you have to cook your own food and do your own laundry. Yes, the elevators take a while to come, but if you rent through dunes realty, you can pick your unit, so pick one on a lower floor and take the steps. The units are individually owned so each unit is unique and decorated differently. If you rent through Dunes and you like your unit, you will know which one to rent next time :) The pool is the best anywhere, the hot tubs are fantastic and the pool deck has a ton of chairs on it. Don't stay here if you are a college student going on spring break and looking to party. Don't stay here if a big nightlife scene is your thing. Do stay here if you want a quiet place to have your family for a week. Do stay here if the thought of an evening walk to the pier, 1/4 mile away, and seeing a band perform and having a beer is your idea if a fun evening. Do stay here if your ideal evening is playing cards with your kids or grandkids or watching fireworks off of your balcony. Do stay here if your ideal evening is to sit in the hot tub for an hour while the kids play in the pool before bed.


• WONDERFUL RELAXING TIME

Sep 21, 2010 - We rented thru VRBO, condo was fine. Beach and pool area wonderful and clean. We stayed Labor day week 2010. All employees at the Waters Edge were friendly. We had no issues, we would come back.


• We recently got back from our vacation...

Jul 27, 2010 - We recently got back from our vacation from Waters Edge, and we honestly hated to leave!! The place was absolutely accommodated one of the best vacations my family has ever been on! I couldn't agree more with 3fowlers, and their review. Our room was perfectly clean, had amazing amenities ex- (two full bathrooms, washer, dryer, and a huge balcony with a view to kill.). I couldn't get much better. The beach is wonderful, pool and whirlpools amazing, and it had a beautifully landscaped oceanfront deck. The only complaint we had was the lower-level parking had a terrible odor, and elevators are almost always busy and quite slow! This resort is perfect families with kids of all ages. Please don't listen to all the negative reviews on here, they may have had a bad time, but we certainly did not!!! I would honestly suggest this hotel to anyone! I know one thing is for sure, my family plans on staying at the Water's Edge Resort next year and many years to come!!!


• Great Place

Jul 14, 2010 - I believe all the harsh reviews are coming from people renting through Water's Edge Resort. These are individually owned condos and you can rent very nice ones from the actual owner's via VRBO.com. I stay in 1109 and it is a beautiful and very clean condo. Suits me that these folks don't want to come back, less crowded and more privacy for me :)


• Dirty

Jul 5, 2010 - We walked into our room and then left. There is no way I could stay there. It smelled and also had 2 dehumidifiers in the rooms, the outdated wallpaper was peeling. It was just horrible. The paper was turning yellow and the rooms were dirty. We asked for a king size bed and it was only a double. The lobby if you want to call it that was right off the garage. I am just glad we found another place to stay. Spend a few more dollars it is well worth it for your health and piece of mind.
