• Winter Getaway

November 14, 2011 - Very nice stay. Probably the best staff of any motel I have stayed at. Nice comfortable rooms and what a view! Glad we choose Patricia Grand for our Myrtle Beach getaway! You wake up to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the sound of the seagulls feasting on the morning fish. Indoor pools and water fun. Just great!


• Best Location!

October 30, 2011 - This beautiful hotel is conveniently located to all the entertainment & shopping Myrtle Beach has to offer! Post Office is close too, for mailing everything that wouldn't fit in our suitcases. The rooms are spacious & clean & housekeeping staff was fast, friendly & generous with coffee & lotion. The full kitchens are lovely with the new appliances & granite countertops. We enjoyed awesome sunrises & sunsets & loved watching the dolphins from our oceanfront balcony! The indoor & outdoor pools, hot tubs, lazy river & sun deck are fun & relaxing. The friendly & effiecient front desk staff really made us feel welcome and accomodated our every need. The hotel is better each time I go with many improvements & updates. We can't wait to go back!

October 25, 2011 - My family was in Myrtle Beach for the Marathon the weekend of October 23rd. We stayed in room 938 and truly felt that the room needed some work. The view was amazing and it was wonderful how much space we had for sleeping with a King in the bedroom a murphy bed and a pull out sofa. What really made our trip so enjoyable was the staff at this hotel. When I informed housekeeping that we were missing almost half of our dishes, they immediately came up and inventoried it and restocked it. We were able to enjoy the restaurant on 2 occasions. Once for a special pasta dinner buffet for the marathon guests and also for breakfast one morning. The dinner was amazing!! You could tell they were not ready for that many patrons at one time, as the line to be sat was out the door, but they handled it with such grace that it made one not worry about the wait. Even the executive chef was out bussing tables and seating people. The wait was worth it too! Hands down, it was the best salad bar we have ever seen and possibly the best lasagna I'd ever tasted. When we had breakfast, I didn't get her name, but our waitress (sweet lady with a long blond ponytail) was so wonderful as she tried to ensure that we got everything we needed. Also, the lazy river was perfect for our small children and we enjoyed it on many occassions. When I first went into our room, I was disappointed because the room really needs some work, but the kind staff and the restaurant and pool areas definitely made up for it. You don't spend much time in your hotel room when you're in Myrtle Beach anyways!! Thanks for making this weekend so great!!


• Great Hotel!!!

October 1, 2011 - The staff at Patricia Grand was wonderful to us, very courteous and helpful. The room was nice with a great balcony and view of the ocean. The restaurant had great food and very friendly staff. The pools were clean, however, the indoor pool was very cold, not heated as it was advertised. This was a disappointment because it was one of the main reasons for choosing the hotel. But everything else was great, making it a very nice vacation. We will stay here again. Thanks for everything!

September 6, 2011 - Amazing hotel! Awesome service from time of check in to check out! Hotel room was updated and maintained. I had a 1 bedroom oceanview (F) room with black granite and new appliances! Bedroom living room and bathroom were clean and maintained. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. My fiance and I are definitely comng back. One of the best resorts ws have stayed in in comparison to Crown Reef and Sea Mist!


• Great place will definitely recommend

August 13, 2011 - We took a spur of the moment trip to Myrtle Beach at 2 in the morning and after checking different places was accommodated at the Patricia Grand what a lucky choice . We totally enjoyed our stay 3 nights . The staff was very nice and Ebony that was working at the front desk was a big help. It seemed as though people went out of their way to help and answer any questions we had. I especially liked the bell hop service and the valet service. My family and I will definitely be back. Thanks for everything.

July 21, 2011 - The staff was great! The extra amenities, ie. free putt putt, free waterpark, were a great plus. Although we did not travel with children, I did notice that their activity staff was doing an excellent job. The room was spacious and clean. We did have very minor maintenance problems that were addressed and corrected immediately. My only complaint, and it really isn't a complaint, more of a preference, was the oceanfront room. The way that the hotel is angled, you do not have a full view all the way up and down the coast. It was not a big problem, though, because we could still see the ocean. I will definitely be returning to this hotel.


• We loved it and would definitely return

June 19, 2011 - We booked through Travelocity.com and upgraded to an ocean view King bed suite for something like 50 cents per day (why not, right?). We had an AWESOME room on the 19th floor and met some nice people in the room next to us. Our suite had a living room with a bed in the wall, a kitchenette and our bedroom was separate from these.

The ONLY complaints that I have at all were that the AC unit was fairly noisy when it turned on and would wake us up a few times a night and the high speed internet would not work in our room. I just used the wifi on my phone so I did not call their free tech support about it. A woman in the room next to ours said that it would only work for her on the balcony. I never tried.

The hotel gives free tickets to a putt putt golf place a couple blocks down the road, a water park that is quite a ways away and an adventure camp with horseback riding and stuff. We made use of the putt putt and the water park. Putt putt was certainly fun for free. The water park was a good time but the GPS had a heckuva time finding it.

The beach was very nice and was very close. The hotel staff in general were very nice as well. My wife and I were there celebrating our anniversary and some nights felt like partying with the people next door and some nights didn't. They were partying most nights but we never heard them on the nights we wanted to be alone. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to go to the Myrtle Beach area.


• Best Value and Location on the Grand Strand!

May 25, 2011 - Recently my boyfriend and I stayed at the Patricia Grand Hotel in Myrtle Beach and it was the best hotel we've stayed at yet! When we arrived I asked for a renovated room (we heard that over winter there had been some renovating going on) on a higher floor. We ended up getting just that plus the top floor! Also, I had purchased a package for a king efficiency and we ended up getting upgraded to a bigger and nicer room with a very large balcony with a great view! The staff was very friendly, the maids clean well and leave your belongings alone, and the restaurant is very good and is fairly cheap compared to other restaurants on Ocean Blvd. The beach in front is clean and there are 2 pools, a hot tub, and a lazy river to keep you busy! For the adults there is a poolside bar that serves great drinks! The parking garage is a little tight to navigate, but there is always space available. When we come back next year we will be definitely staying here again!

May 1, 2011 - Everyone at the Patricia Grand were genuinely friendly and knowledgeable. I have not stayed at a hotel where everyone was polite and helpful in a long time. I was also surprised at how modern the hotel is given that it is a older hotel.


• Awesome Time at the Grand

Apr 24, 2011 - Amazing time. Room was clean and nicely appointed. Front desk staff was great. We can't wait to come back this summer. This is our twenty third year and to our family there is no place like the grand. The updates that are being made our fabulous. We loved the waterfall in the lobby.


• What Laid Back is Supposed to Be

Apr 21, 2011 - I am writing this now because i have read some of the negative reviews regarding stays at Patricia Grand. My girlfriend and I stayed there last May and had a wonderful experience. I am more of a "Self Starter" so maybe I didn't expect as much as others but we thoroughly "vacated" all of the stress in our lives during that trip. The service was exceptional; especially a young woman named Ebony who was totally at the top of her game and was very, very courteous, out-going and responsive to any need we had. The indoor pool and whirlpool/hot tub were magnificent and offered a pleasing close to our day(s) on the beach. The view was more than adequate and the room was modern by our standards and easily accessible given the ins/outs of a day on the sand. We are staying there again this May and it will probably continue to be our choice each year as a kick-off point for our beach season.


• Not So Hot

Apr 18, 2011 - Had spent 1 week in Myrtle & decided to extend our stay by 3 days. The resort we were in had no additional availability, so we booked the Patricia Grand. Upon arrival our room was terrible. Placed above the kitchen. Terrible fumes. The room was extremely run down. Indoor pool was closed for half our stay. On the positive side. The outdoor pool deck is very nice and the outdoor pool is lovely. Nice ocean views. But, if you are looking for something really nice...look elsewhere.


• Probably Will Be Back

Apr 4, 2011 - We really enjoyed our stay once again. This was the second time we stayed at this motel. The staff is friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the indoor pool and indoor lazy river. The lazy river is just the right depth for our kids and both are heated.
